TERM NEWSLETTER
“A place where your child is safe, Inspired, Challenged and Empowered”
From the Principal’s Desk: Mr. Muigai Muriuki
I would like to express how grateful I am to be leading such an
outstanding community of students, parents and staff. It has been a very exciting term and I am so proud of all the achievements and accomplishments of our students and staff here at Deenway International School. All this would not have been possible without your support and dedication. Reflecting on the past three months, we have great memories and amazing events to look back. Our students who come from all over the world managed to settle down well and above all bonded into one big family. This allowed our school to take part in various inter-schools programs which included the MUN at Oshwal , The SPEAK initiative at Light Academy including Community services at various centers’. I truly appreciate the immense support by the Board of Directors through the Chairperson – Ukti Madinah Mu’umin for working tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure our service delivery was of high quality and impacted positively on the learners.
I also take this moment to reflect my close working and professional relationship with the Outgoing Mudir Sheikh Jamaldeen Osman . I wish him all the best as he continues to touch the lives of Kenyans from Nairobi. On the same breath, I take this moment to welcome Sheikh Qassim Ahmed Mohamed our incoming Mudir. Term two calendar is ready and will be dispatched to you both in soft copy and hard copies. THE INTER SCHOOLS’ PUBLIC SPEAKING AND DEBATE
The Interschool debate competition for International schools was held from 7
th
November 2019 at the Light Academy. This is part of SPEAK initiative founded by Pure Pearl Foundation working in collaboration with Kakuwe Infinity Network limited

students got the opportunity to contextualize and profile the skills demonstrated by other international schools which acted as a great platform to extract global opinion on matters affecting Humans. The Forum dubbed SPEAK initiatives is an acronym for Speak / Passionately / Effectively / Articulately / and Knowledgeably. The cometion was divided into three forums. Deenway International School was ably represted by :-
