ents who helped keep the pool open by opening and locking up

CROSS COUNTRY Congratulations to ALL our runners last Friday. The first seven runners from each age group qualified for the Cluster Cross Country that was held yesterday at Morgan park. Look out for Results and photos in next weeks newsletter. A massive thanks to Kim for her outstanding work setting up and running the both the East School and the Cluster Cross Countries and for our amazing parents who have given up their time to help us out with such enthusiasm and passion.

NETBALL DRAW Saturday 3rd June 2017 9:00 Events Centre East Sunrise(yr 1 &2) v St Joes Wildcats 9:50 Court 2 East Stars(yr 6) v Whanga Magic 10:50 Court 2 East Galaxy(yr 4&5) v Waimata 10.50 Court 4 East Shine(yr 5) v Beach Dreams 11.40 Court 4 East Suns(yr 3) v Beach Mermaids 11.40 Court 5 East Rockets(rm 1) v St Joes Leopards Please be at the courts at least 20 minutes before game start time. Subs for Year 6 team is yet to be confirmed. Subs for the East Shine and Galaxy is $33 per player. Subs for the East Suns and Rockets is $15 per player. Please pay to the East School office.

SOCCER Year 1-4 soccer- Tuesdays at Waihi Beach School. Please meet under the tree at 3pm to arrange transport for a 3.30pm start. Playing shirts have been issued. Please keep these until the end of the season when we will collect them all up. Year 5-6 soccer. Fridays at College top field. Please be there by 3.20pm for a

3.30pm start. Players need to wear boots and shin pads. Shirts have been issued to players. Please look after them and return at end of soccer. The cost is $10 each to be paid to the Waihi East School office. Please pay as soon as possible so we can pay the college. Thanks.

REMINDER Year 1 & 2 netball practice is now on at

2.30pm on Tuesday afternoon. A snack is provided for afternoon tea.

COMMUNITY NOTICES

FREE EAR CLINIC SERIVICE FOR CHILDREN The caravan will be at Waihi Central School, Moresby Ave-nue on Friday 16 June 2017. 10-12 and12.45-2pm. Visit the ear nurse for advice on Glue ear assessment and manage-ment, Wax/foreign body removal, Grommet checks and treatment of discharging ears. All children must be accompanied by a caregiver. For en-quiries regarding this service please contact 07 838 3565.

NITS These pests are back again. It’s a good idea to tie all long hair up every day to lessen the chance of nits spreading. Also please check your children’s hair daily and if nits are present we have KidsCan nit treatment available at the office free of charge.

MATARIKI 2017 We are celebrating Matariki again this year. Friday 16th June Hikoi. Sunday 25th June Dawn Viewing @ Bowentown Heads. Wednesday 28th June Matariki Concert @ Memorial Hall. 5pm. Wednesday 5th July Tapuwae Tournament @ Central School.

NEEDED Room 8 pupils have a lot of playdough of different colours and need good small airtight plastic jars or containers to keep it all fresh and soft. If you have a suitable jar e.g. like peanut butter or marmite, small to medium size would be great. Please could you send them to Ms Johansen. Thanks.

FREE OP SHOP Seventh-day Adventist Church , Cannon Street, Waihi. Eve-ry Monday 10.30-1.30pm. Womens, babies, kids clothing and linen.
