Ergonomics

Production

Refers to the volume/ quantity / value of goods produced by employee or firm OR the total output produced by firm.

Productivity

Productivity is related to the efficient utilization of input resource into produced in the form of value added goods or services. It puts emphasis on the ratio of output produced to the input used. Its focus is on how well the input resource is used for conversion into output.

Labor productivity

Refers to measurement of economic growth of a country. Labor productivity measures the amount of goods and services produced by one hour of labor. More specifically, labor productivity measures the

amount of real GDP produced by an hour of labor. Growing labor productivity depends on three main factors: investment and saving in physical capital, new technology and human capital.

Quality

According to Deming: Quality is what customer defines.

It is a measure of excellence of product/service.

Rejection

It is the inability of product or service to meet the par of excellence or standard set on requirements.

Rework

Change or alteration of a product or service to improve it and make it more likely acceptable for a pre-set requirement.
