The “Termopro-Center” Program purpose

The “TERMOPRO–CENTER” program was developed for control of “TERMOPRO” series equipment and monitor process data.

For specification, description of work and safety requirements of

“TERMOPRO” series equipment please refer to appropriate User Manual which are a part of “SET OF MANUALS FOR SAFITY AND USE” delivered with IK-650Pro Reworking Soldering Center. All Manuals in English version are also available in Web by address www.termopro-center.com.

The Program has two working modes:

1 – Graph registration mode 2 – Mode of soldering by termoprofile In the first mode the program registers the temperature data received from sensors of connected devices and saves these in thermograph format. In the second mode the program controls temperature controllers connected, for further work out of thermo-profiles set by Operator on heating elements or at processed subject, on PCB in a process of soldering or repair for example.

A special attention should be attracted to a process of soldering with feedback and automatic temperature correction on heaters as per data received from a temperature sensor mounted on the object of heating (PCB). This feature helps to save a working time of a soldering process tuning, ie, with a one product repeating soldering can be run as fast as a batch-production.

Switch over to Graph registration mode is realized by pushing button or Menu

“Settings”, and a Soldering by thermo-profile – by pushing a bottom Main Program Functions:

An important feature of the program is an ability to control the temperature of a printed circuit board or the temperature of a heater in accordance with the thermal profile specified by the operator. In addition, several heaters can simultaneously fulfill various thermo profiles. The operator can graphically independently create, modify, tune, and save a library of any number of different processes with ability to support thermo-profile creating;

the program displays in real time a graphic as a single curve of temperature versus time relation for each control sensor or feedback sensor;

thermo-graph’s received can be saved on your Hard Drive for further research and comparison;

the program can serve up to four of the "TERMOPRO" series devices in any combinations;

the program allows to program internal parameters of each control channel of the device, such as: temperature of stabilization, upper and lower limits of the temperature change. .

1. Program Elements

1.1 Meaning of Symbols The following meaning of Symbols used in the User Manual:

<Settings> - LCD button which is to be pushed for program referring function realization;

1.2 Working Elements of Program The following subjects are referred to Elements of the Program: screen (LCD) buttons, check marks,

selection mark, menu commands, input windows and rectangular areas. Some of Program functions refer to related Elements of Program. To realize the function a proper Element has to be selected and activated. Selection and activation can be done with help of mouse left button after cursor pointing at the Element.

Display button. This is the main control Element of the Program. In order to effect the program action associated with a button it is necessary to press and release the mouse button when the cursor is positioned directly on-screen button.

Check Mark (V). Some parameters can have two states: "on" and "off", therefore for its controlling used a Check Mark. The Check Mark looks like a "tick" (V- shape mark) in the box and means off - an empty box. To switch the state over between positions the check mark should be set by a cursor point to a box and [left-click] your mouse.

Selection Mark (•). Some parameters can have several fixed conditions. Only the selected state is displayed as a circle with a black dot (•), other states are shown empty circles. To select a new state should set the cursor on it and make a [left-click] your mouse.

Menu commands. Menu - a thematically unified list of commands of the program. To select a command from the menu the cursor to be set on it, then it will be highlighted in shaded boxes, and make [left-click] your mouse. To exit the menu without selecting press [Esc] or move the cursor away from the list and make any [click] your mouse.

Entry field. Used in the program for user input numeric or line parameters. The input field is selected in the same way as the menu command, and you find yourself in a typical line editor, working in characters insert mode. As a rule, at the entrance to the editor as a "source line" a previous value of the parameter offered selected blue background highlight. To leave this line without changes before editing press one of the keys [Home], [End], [Left], [Right], and blue background disappears. To enter the parameter to "clean line" should proceed immediately to its typing. After pressing the first character key old row disappears.

2. Agreement about Terminology used in the Manual. The following Clause identifies a list of terms accepted specifically for Program “ThermoPro Center” (below as TPC or “The Program”).

2.1 «THERMOPRO» «Thermopro» - Digital technology of temperature measurement and control, based on which a series of different temperature gauges and thermo-controllers were developed and unified by technology and interface. Thermo-controllers can work both independently and under the TPCs control. A high-precision miniature platinum thermo-resistors are used as Temperature sensors of standard DIN EN60751 class B or K-type thermocouple. Measured data and control codes exchange between an instrument and a computer is realized via a communication RS-232C channel or converters USB-COM, after install the appropriate drivers on your computer. Thermo-controllers or temperature gauges connected to computer via a communication channel for its management by the TPC program , for the sake of brevity these will be referred to in further text below as devices. Measurement channel – a “ThermoPro” system device channel supposed for temperature measurement only, and to which the temperature (control) sensor is only connected. In the Program Interface this channel named “BASIC”. The Measurement Channel is dedicated to a board or its elements temperature control. If “Correction mode” is applied it is used for a heater temperature correction. At this mode a Control Sensor provides a higher precision level of thermo-profile tracing. Program’s temperature tags can be referred to Control Channel. Measurement-heating channel, or controlling channel – a “ThermoPro” system device channel supposed for connection of heating equipment, heater temperature measurement and temperature control. A channel of device (thermo-controller) of ThermoPro system which temperature, at "Correction" mode on, does depend not only on linked Thermo-profile, but also on the temperature deviation from the sets at control channel. Both Top and Bottom heaters can be used as the corrected channel both together and separately. Control Sensor – sensor used for temperature control on different objects. Control Sensor is connected to a device (thermo-controller or digital thermometer) through referred measurement channel. Feed-back sensor – a sensor built-in into heating equipment which is connected to a Measurement-heating channel of a thermo-controller. Sensor is used for heater temperature measurement

Page 7: TERMOPRO CENTERtermoprocenter.com/files/IK-650/Termopro_Center_Manual...The “Termopro-Center” Program purpose The “TERMOPRO–CENTER” program was developed for control of “TERMOPRO”

7

Heater – electric heating element powered from AC power line. A heater is built-in into heating equipment and can process a working subject directly or by “process media”, air or gas flow (thermo-air heater) e.g. Temperature of Stabilization – set up by user a heater temperature supported by ThermoPro devicets automatically and with set up precision.

2.2 Thermo-profile Thermo-profile - set of Graphs of temperature versus time curves. Each control channel and each of

devices connected to control channel corresponds to its own curve. Depending on a type of connected device and on the number of devices Termo-groph may contain from one to twelve curves of different colors. For example, one device "Thermoscope TA-570M" contains 3 curves and two such instruments - 6 curves.

Sometimes it is required to mark some interesting points on a process of Termograph display in real time. That can be done by inserting a time Tags with “the Tag" button help.

At each point of measurement data received are recorded in a special results-file. This file can then be used for the results process and analysis.

If during a process a temperature value curve at any of the channels goes beyond the display the Program window will automatically change display scale.

If the time exceeds the value of display scale, the Program automatically either shift an image or change a scale of display, depending on the mode selected.

2.3 Process Definition Process - it is a user-defined set of all parameters, including connected devices configuration,

thermo-profiles and all the necessary settings and links. Under the links understood the correspondence established between a device channel and a process thermo-profile.

The process is stored in as .pro files in a folder "Process". During a process downloading into the Program it checks connected devices structure and compare it with saved in the process.

Several test processes are available in “Process” folder which can be used as a basis for the introduction with IK system and development of new processes.

Thermo-profile or profile - a user-defined model of temperature versus time relation. Thermo-profile consists of conventional zones from one to one hundred. Each profile has its own zones. Key points (break points) are shown in the Edit mode of the process.

Channel link to Thermo-profile - a user-defined reference of any channel (or several channels) of connected devices to one of Thermo-profiles of the process. The aim is a displaying a liked Thermo-profile by controlling channel and calculating of the current a temperature deviation from current tied point of thermo-profile at control channel.

Autoprofile - Thermo-profile, automatically calculated and created by the Program, to realize user-defined Thermal profile of the board. Autoprofile can be formed for both the button and/or top heaters. Note that before a top heater Autoprofile formation a Thermo-profile for the bottom of the heater has to be created first (See Section 5.5.2).

Zone – a part of the Thermo-profile where the temperature versus time relation has a linear character. Zone parameters are: initial temperature, final temperature, duration. Temperature is given in ° C, duration - in seconds. All values are integers.

Full time the Thermal profile is a sum of all the zones’ durations. Since a Thermo- profile is continuous, the final temperature of the previous zone is the initial temperature of the subsequent zone. Within each zone, the program automatically calculates the rate of temperature change (the dimension - ° C / s). Pic 2.1 shows a typical Thermo- profiles.

Pic. 2.1 Process Thermo-Profiles Graph field

Values of time, temperature, time and temperature increments and a value of the convection for each selected point of the Thermo-profile are presented in a table on the left from a Graph field. The value for the editable point including the calculated speed is placed over the table. Thermo-profile is presented by a solid line. A dotted line displays the same thermal profile prior editing. Soldering by thermo-profile - automatic process in which the TPC program is running heaters, devices (thermo controllers) connected to channels to reproduce temperature time relation what is determined by an appropriate thermal profile. Soldering by thermo-profile process is accompanied with Thermo-graph displaying a process in real time format. Detailed description of soldering by thermo-profile is given in Section 7.

2.4 Channels Assignment IR system IK-650Pro controlled by the TPC program provides Soldering by Thermo-profile process in

feed-back regime based on data got from sensor installed on a processed PCB. This regime guarantees automatic temperature correction for more precise realization of thermo-profile sets up. To prepare the TPC for a work in this regime it is necessary to make devices channels assignment.

Channels Assignment – it is a procedure to define features of the channels what is necessary for a

proper program work. Pushing the button will recall the window shown on a Pic. 2.2. The assignment is made by selection of available options from a lists. For a sample, for Control Channel the line “KD>IK1-10KD-Pro” was selected. It means, that selected Measurement channel “KD” of deviceIK1-10KD-Pro supposed for Top-heater control of IK-650 system.

Pic. 2.2 Channels Assignment window

9

As a Control channel can be used Measurement channel of IK-10KDPro, TP1-10KD-Pro devices or one of temperature measure instrument “Thermoscope TA-570M” channels. As a Top heater channel a regulating channel “IK” of IK1-10KD-Pro device have to be used. As a Bottom heater channel a regulating channels “A” or “B” of IK2-10AB-Pro, TP2-10AB-Pro or regulating channel of TP1-10KD-Pro devices have to be used. The subject of channels assignment is considered in more details in Section 5.5..

2.5 Profiles links Profiles link allows to set up a reference between selected Thermo-profiles, Basic channels. The link can be set up in several ways: in a window shown in Pic. 2.2. and on virtual panel of devices (see Section 3.2.) as well. Additionally, it can be done in main Program window using buttons of channels line placed on left under Graphic field (see Pic.2.3).

Pic. 2.3

Left click of mouse on square field with selected channel name will load up a window shown on Pic 2.4.

Pic. 2.4

In appeared window desired number of Profile can be selected by left mouse click and the link will be set up. A number of linked profile will appear in a” Profiles” line under a box with channel’s name. Selection of “0” profile number means that the channel is not linked. Not linked channels are not managed by the Program during a soldering process and its status can be manually set up at Virtual Panel of Devices, if needed

2.6 Time and Temperature Tags Temperature and Time Tags are used for signaling and control of auxiliary devices in the characteristic points of the process. Tags are set up by User in the Temperature Tags Window left from the temperature scale, or in the Time Tags Window under the time scale. Temperature Tags are activate when the Control channel reaches specified temperature, and Time Tags activate when the preset process time comes. More information on using tags see Section 5.6 and 5.7.

The properties window horizontally divided on parts by the number of channels of the device. Each channel has its own set of buttons and the parameters.

The <Color> button allows specifying the color of the channel graph. Check Mark <Display> allows you to show the graph of the channel at the screen. In this window, the thermo-graph link to a device channel can be set al also. T max, T min values – the Program working temperature limits for regulating channels can be set up

in input fields. The detailed table below presents parameters and conditions of these appointment:

Т lo Т hi

The lower and upper limits of the temperature on Basic channel of the device. Within these limits the Temperature of stabilization may be changed. These parameters are set by the manufacturer for each channel and for each type of instrument. Parameters cannot be changed.

Т min The current lower limit of Temperature of Stabilization at channel. Setting up parameter the following term is to be met: Т lo ≤ Тmin ≤ Тmax

Т max The current upper limit of Temperature of Stabilization at channel. Setting up parameter the following term is to be met: Т min ≤ Тmax ≤ Тhi

Т stab The current Temperature of Stabilization at channel. Setting up parameter the following term is to be met: Т min ≤ Тstab ≤ Тmax

The Temperature of Stabilization can be input in Tstab field. After that the channel can be turned on

immediately by setting a Check Mark in <Heating> box. To change Tstab scroll the bar on virtual panel. On

right from scroll bar there are bottoms which are also change the temperature with 1 degree grid. Each of listed parameter can be changed if needed. For this matter a direct digital input box is used

but limitation conditions presented in above table have to be met. If these limitations are broken the Program will automatically select closest vale of parameter from a range.

In a upper pannel of device with two channels (Pic. 3.8 b) there is a field , which allows to turn synchronized mode on. At this mode channels A will be working synchronized with channel B. Tmax, T min and T stab input parameters fields for channel B are not available for a change and are changed automatically with referred fields of channel A. This function works only at Manual Heaters Control Mode and will be canceled at exit from the Program.

The properties window can be closed by bottom <->. All new settings for device will be automatically

sent to the device and saved.

3.3.2 Virtual panel of Cooler FC-500

Air cooler FC-500 (fan) is used for forming a cooling zone at the end of the soldering by profile process. The air flow speed of the cooler FC-500 can be adjusted by units from 1 to 16. The adjustment is carried out either manually (button on the device) or with the help of the program. Air Cooler Panel is shown in Pic 3.9.

Pic. 3.9

To adjust Airflow speed scroll the bar on virtual panel. On the left from scroll bar there is a input field where the speed is presented in a numeric format. On the right from scroll bar there is switch button [On]

which let switch on - or off - a cooler. While manual device control process the panel is also reflects a current cooler status. While Soldering by profile process the cooler is controlled in accordance with set up process time and/or temperature tags. The Cooler unit buttons are blocked at this mode. The manual cooler control is available when the process paused.

4. Thermo-profiles read out and its saving for further use.

The program TPC can work with any “TERMOPRO” Series device which have thermo-sensors and Air Cooler (what will needs to use tags) in Graph Record Mode.

Page 16: TERMOPRO CENTERtermoprocenter.com/files/IK-650/Termopro_Center_Manual...The “Termopro-Center” Program purpose The “TERMOPRO–CENTER” program was developed for control of “TERMOPRO”

16

For temperature read-out from different objects the devices having measurement channels are to be used, for example: “Termoscope TA-570M” – 3 channels, “Termoscope TA-750”- 2 channels, TP1-10KD-Pro – 1 channel, IK1-10KD-Pro-1 channel.

4.1 Thermo-profiles read out

Pushing the bottom turn the Program TPC into “Graph Recorder” . For starting up a reading out process the bottom <Start> has to be pushed additionally. The process of thermo-profile read out is performed in real time. Each channel of the connected devices refers to its own temperature curve. Depending on the mode curves are displayed in the process of Thermo-profile read out either in a full ("Auto") or in part ("Shift").

Before read out process it is necessary to carry out a preparation process. First, the equipment has to be prepared and sensors are installed on working object (these operations are described in the devices Manuals). In addition, the following parameters are to be set up (the window "Thermograph Options" Pic. 4.1):

Pic. 4.1

– set up reading out steps-grid desplay. – set up a time limit within which the thermograph read out is supposed to be made. For example, for

read out 10 minutes thermograph T max =600 sec has to be set up. If “0” set is made then thermograph will be “infinite” within HDD volume for writing down.

– set up initial point for time in time scale refer to Thermograph; – allows a use of tags set up to initiate a marking function. For using tags it is necessary to create

an abstract process (in Edit Process mode) with time and/or temperature tags where needed; – select display mode for screen: Shift or Autozoom. Display Mode for screen can be change in a process of work. Additionally to that, the button <Fit> can

be used to see whole thermograph in Shif Mode. By that the whole graph will be displayed on the screen, and when the process Graph reaches the edge of the screen the program will switch to “Shift” mode immediately.

Press <Start> button to initiate thermograph read out process. While read out "Time of the process" is displayed in field what means a current time in numeric format (in seconds).

In the process of thermograph read out may be needed to mark up some specific points. To do so, press <Tag>, the time mark will appear at this point in ashape of a vertical dotted line. The Tag can appear with some delay due to output frequency.

The process of thermograph read out stops automatically after a predetermined time run out. For example, as shown in Pic. 4.1 the process stops after 600 seconds, or it can be stopped at any time by pressing <End process>.

After thermograph completing window "End of process" appears (Pic. 4.2).

Files that are of interest for further work should be saved <Save results to a file>. The program will display a saving results window. It recommends a new file name in a current Date format: "TYYYYMMDDhhmm", where YYYY-year, MM-month, DD - day, hh-hours, mm-minutes of the working process beginning. If you want to specify a different name, you can change it in input box. As a side note to the Thermograph saving the Program shows a line which clarify what devices were used in read out of Termograph process. For example: "Thermograph: IK1-10KD-Pro> COM5, IK2-10AB-Pro> COM1. Time = 550 s.". If needed the note can be changed or added in refer input box. The file is saved under specified name in "ThermoGraph" folder in the Main Program Directory, from where it is possible to re-view the results (Section 4.2). The resulting Termographis automatically recorded under a button <I>. If earlier this button was taken by other results, these are replaced by new ones. If the check-mark "Automatic shift data after soldering" was put then the data will be automatically overwrite the old results from <I> button on a button <II>, etc., and with the button <V> old results will be canceled. Automatic shift indication is a ">" symbol between the buttons. In addition, the results of the last executed process can be saved later via the menu "File".

4.2 View Saved Files with Thermo-profiles

To review old thermographs the button should be pushed, what moved the Program into Graphic Recorder Mode. In this Mode thermographs can be loaded from "ThermoGraph" folder in the Program Main root directory .

The Program allows to review up to five earlier saved thermographs. 5 bottoms (fields) are available

for this in a top-right part of the screen < I > < II > < III > < IV > < V >. To the right from each of these

buttons are a pair buttons <Settings> (Pic. 4.3). The result of the last made work are always saved under

bottom < I > . And if the flag <Settings/Autoshift after soldering> was set then all earlier saved results will be

shift one bottom up.

5.5 Edition of the process Edit software tools provide a wide range of instruments for development profiles upon users requirements. Also, “Autoprofile” function is available what helps to create profile for Top and Bottom heaters automatically. Editable chart knots highlighted in black on a chart field. For profile activation it is enough to left click mouse

on its number . This button with number is placed lo left under the chart field. The number of profile in edition is highlighted with red frame; In this Section some new definitions are accepted which will be used in the text below:

profile Zone – part of profile graph where temperature varies linearly;

point – highlighted with big diameter (active) point of editable profile differs. To select any point press a left click of mouse. Active point is on right zone end.

5.5.1 Edition of thermoprofile

Two points having a special character are to be marked on active profile. Zero-point of profile (most left one) can be moved only along Temperature axis, while profile itself can be moved up and down what allows to change all profile points temperature up and down at once. Right point (next right from Zero point) always has the same temperature as a Zero point, and can be moved along Temperature axis only with Zero point. And if the shift mode was set up then a move along Time axis will effect a move of all profile points, what let move whole profile left and right. No points can be added between Zero and Right points. Shift mode

is turn on in button on left above chart field. This mode is active while edition of any point and

5.5.2 Generating of Thermoprofiles for top and bottom heaters with “Autoprofile” function

To simplify the process of creating the program has an "Autoprofile" function which let develop a thermo- profile for the Bottom and Top heaters automatically. To use this feature it is necessary to make a preliminary thermo-profile for a board, for instant such as profile in Pic. 5.7. After that follow below guidelines: 1. Start up a profile from temperature about 60-80ºC; 2. The rate of temperature change should not exceed 0.5ºC/sec at temperatures less than 160 ° C and not more 0.4ºC/sec at higher; 3. At solder reflow (melt) temperature is desirable to have a "flat zone" at least 20-30 seconds; 4. The function of cooling rate support operates when AirCooler FC-500 is available and fan speed adjustment option is turned on. (Read more about rules of the cooling zone formation in Section 5.5.3.)

Pic 5.7. Sample of Preliminary Thermo-profile

Then a button is to be pressed and channels assignment is to be made in appeared window, as it is shown at Pic 5.8.

Pic 5.8. “Channels assignment” window

Page 25: TERMOPRO CENTERtermoprocenter.com/files/IK-650/Termopro_Center_Manual...The “Termopro-Center” Program purpose The “TERMOPRO–CENTER” program was developed for control of “TERMOPRO”

25

In this sample a Control channel is assigned as "KD" of IK1-10KD device, and it has to be linked to

PCB’s thermo-profile (№1 in a sample). Top heater channel assigned as "IK" channel. It has to stay with no link (profile №0). Bottom heat channels are assigned channels "А" and "Б" of IK2-10АБ devise. It also has to stay

without link (profile №0).

Put a check marks and for automatic thermo-profile generation for top and bottom heaters. Set up Top Heater priority equal to “1”.

After pushing the bottom the Program will create necessary profiles automatically. As shown in Pic. 5.9.

Pic 5.9 “Autoprofile” mode work result. Bottom heater profile (highlighted Blue) gets the next number, and assigned channels of the bottom heather link to it automatically. Profile of the upper heater (highlighted Green) will have a number greater by 1 (+1), and the "IR" channel of IK1-10KD controller is automatically linked to it. This can be checked (if needed) by clicking once again on the <Assignment> bottom to recall "Channel assignment" window (Pic. 5.10).

Pic 5.10

Page 26: TERMOPRO CENTERtermoprocenter.com/files/IK-650/Termopro_Center_Manual...The “Termopro-Center” Program purpose The “TERMOPRO–CENTER” program was developed for control of “TERMOPRO”

26

If the bottom heather profile was developed earlier and there is no need to change it, a profile only for

top heather can be created by removing check mark from refer button . At the same time manual link to existing profile is to be set up for the bottom heather channel(s).

A profile only for bottom heather can be created by the same way, i.e. by removing refer check mark

and without changing top heather profile.. It should be taken into account that mathematic references and coefficients accepted for calculation

were taken from results of experiments made on some different devices and with some different boards, and cannot be "ideal" for all cases in result. Therefore, the use of thermo correction mode is recommended for obtaining a good result in soldering by created thermo-profile. Correction Mode for created thermo-profile can be set up in the "Channel assignments" window. Also, Correction mode can be turned on in main Program window just before soldering process. Put Check marks on buttons Correction: <top>and<bottom>, as shown

in Pic 5.11. Correction of Cooler can be allowed too if it’s supposed.

Pic. 5.11

If the Corrections are set up the program will correct the temperature automatically at both top and bottom heathers compensating mismatches cause by different external factors, such as ambient temperature, variation of heathers parameters, a board thickness differences, etc… If the Cooler is connected to system the cooling zone will be created. If it is needed the received result can be manually adjusted for getting better results.

The balance of a heat between top and bottom heaters directed to a working zone can be changed by operator in a process of thermo-profile development, if required. For that it is enough to change a Priority coefficient of Top heater. Recommended coefficient value – 1. The Coefficient can be changed in a range 0.7-1.3. If the coefficient value is higher “1” the top heart profile will be created at higher temperature values and bottom heater – at lower ones, the heat share came to working zone from top heater will be increasing. And vice-versa, at coefficient values lower than “1” the heat share coming from top will be decreasing. Pic. 5.12 shows calculation results for 3 values of Priority coefficient: 1.3, 1.0 и 0.7.

Pic 5.12

Page 27: TERMOPRO CENTERtermoprocenter.com/files/IK-650/Termopro_Center_Manual...The “Termopro-Center” Program purpose The “TERMOPRO–CENTER” program was developed for control of “TERMOPRO”

27

Attention: The priority coefficient should be changed with big care, and particularly at values far

from “1”. We highly recommend to test profiles created with such coefficient at testing boards first.

5.5.3 Cooling Zone Formation

If the AirCooler FC-500 connected to the system ( further as Fun), the process of controlled cooling becomes possible, what, in its turn, allows to get better soldering joint quality. For this matter the Cooling zone has to be formatted after a zone with highest temperatures, as it is shown in Pic 5.13. We recommend setting up a cooling rate in this zone about 1ºC/sec down to temperature 100ºC.

Ventilation tag has to be set up at the end (it can be beginning also) of upper flat zone of the profile what allows air coolers work start up (for more ventilator tags see Section 5.6.2). Air Flow rate recommended at value “1” despite the start value of flow rate does not matter if Correction Mode is on.

Pic. 5.13. Thermo-profile with a cooling zone

Further Thermo-profiles both for top and bottom heaters are to be formatted in atuoprofile Mode (See Section

5.5.2). Correection of Cooler in a Channel Assignment window is to be set up , as shown in Pic 5.14.

Received process is to be saved pressing a button <Save> or <Save as>. The Program will turn on Air Cooler during a soldering process after ventilation tag point if temperature at sensor connected to a Control Channel will be higher than required by process on 2 degree or more. Airflow rate will be setting up automatically.

Warning: A normal work of the system highly depends on correct sensors

installation. For better thermo-contact between sensor and a board use a drop of thermo-conductive paste.

5.5.4 Additional Program features for profile edition. Results received at soldering processes can be used for profiles tuning. For this matter one of the

graphs of soldering process can be upload to display. Prior enter into Edition mode soldering processes results are to be loaded onto one of memory cells bottoms (I -:- V).

Then, being in Edition Mode, install cursor on selected channel line and click left mouse bottom on

window <data property on bottom> (pic. 5.16), The Graph of selected channel will be displayed, as shown at Pic.5.17 left. Now, for example, profile #1 can be edited in a way to repeat a selected channel (Pic. 5.17 right).

Pic. 5.17

Such thermo-profile tuning helps to get more stable results.

5.6 Temperature tags For extra accent to a board temperature control (with control channel sensors) the program allows to

set up “temperature” tags . The tags can be installed in a Tag’s window, left from temperature scale. Maximum up to 32 tags can be set. Right mouse click on Tags window will display menu, shown in Pic 5.18. Desired appearance of the tag is selected by left mouse click on selected menu line. The icon refers to selected tag will appear in Tags window

5.6.1 Temperature Audio tags

Two types of temperature Audio tags are available: “Sound +” and “Sound-“ . Tags set up are displayed as icons in Tags window on left from temperature axis (Pic. 5.19). First type of tag turns up at a board heating up, and the second at board cooling down. The tag (icon) can be moved by push and hold left mouse. While moving the tag the temperature coordinate will be shown in a change on a right under the

Graph field .

Pic. 5.19

If to click right mouse on selected icon a menu “Select sound” will be displayed (Pic. 5.20). Sound selection, listening, assignment to tag or deletion of previously put up tag can be done in this menu.

5.6.2 Temperature Tags of Air Cooler Control There are four types of tags for Air Cooler control. 2 tags used for turn the Cooler on with set up

airflow rate, and 2 others for turn off: “Fan on+” , “Fan off –“ , “Fan off+” and “Fun off-“

. In the same way as in case with Audio Tags those what marked - turn on when the temperature at

Control Channel grows, and marked as - when the temperature goes down. One of Temperature Tags feature is an ability to change AirFlow parameter. It can be set up on a rage from 1 to 16, what helps to control a PCB cooling rate. An AirFlow value is displayed in bottom part of a tag. To set or change the AirFlow value it is necessary to click right mouse on selected tag and set up required value in appeared window, as well as set up a sound (Pic 5.21).

Pic 5.21

Tags “Fan off+” и “Fan off-“ just turn the fan off and has no additional parameters.

5.6.3 Temperature Tags of Video camera control

There are two types of tags:”Shut photo+” and “Shut photo –“ which let make a photo of soldering joint automatically when the process crosses set up temperature point on a way up or down.

There are also 2 types of tags for start up shutting a video , and two for ending video

shutting , . For correct work of these tags a USB Video Camera has to be connected and “BGAvideo” module set

up. For more information see Section 14 “ The USB Video Camera Use”.

5.7 Time tags As well as it was in case of temperature audio tags the tags for audion signals can be also set up

along the time scale. Maximum number of tags - 256. Time tags are also set up in the Process edit mode. For that click right mouse button in Tags window which is just under Time Scale. Select requite Tags type in appeared menu (Pic.5.22.) and click left mouse. Refer icon will appear in tags window under time scale.

A Tag (icon) can be moved along the Time scale by push and hold left mouse bottom. While moving the tag the time coordinate of the tag will be shown in a change on a right under the Graph

field .

5.7.2 Time Tags of Air Cooler Control

There are two types of tags of Air Coller Control by time: “Fun on” and “Fun off”. Image of these tags is shown in Pic. 5.24.

Pic. 5.24

Airflow rate value for AirCooler icon “Fun on” - displayed in a digit format on a right side of the icon. AirFlow rate is changed in the way the same as it described in Section 5.6.2 for tags “Fun on +” and “Tag off –“.

Tags “Fun off” - just turn the fun off in definite process point and have no additional parameters.

There is an ability to change the cooling speed during a process. For that the Tag “Fun on” is to be put up in required points of the process and with different value of AirFlow rate. Air Cooler will be changing the cooling speed automatically in required point during the process realization.

5.7.3 Time Tags of Video Camera Control

The Tag <Make Photoо> let make a photo of soldering process automatically at fixed time. The Tag

let to start up shutting video, and the Tag ending shutting video.

6. Soldering by Thermo-profile Soldering by thermo-profile can be done by several methods:

Soldering by thermo-profile with no correction;

Soldering by thermo-profile with Top heater temperature correction only;

Soldering by thermo-profile with both Top and Bottom heaters temperature correction;

Soldering by thermo-profile with both Top and Bottom heaters temperature correction, as well as cooling by profile (with AirColler FC-500 connected).

For a work in “Soldering by thermo-profile” Mode press the button . The window “Soldering by thermo-profile” will appear. “Waiting for Basic Channel Readiness”, “Waiting for preheating” or

“Without waiting” Modes can be set up in this window. After pressing button the program will realize the initial parameters checking, namely: control of a board heating up or temperature entrance to start up point. If a board (control sensor) heating up does not start within 30 seconds due to any reason and after bottom heater achieves preset temperature the WARNING window shown in Pic. 6.1. will appear and sound signal will inform about that mistake.

Pic. 6.1

The program makes 15 seconds countdown. If during this time operator takes no decision the soldering process will be stopped automatically. If operator decides to continue soldering but the board does not begin to heat up, then after 30 seconds, a warning window will appear again. After fulfilling conditions specified in the "Soldering by thermo-profile Mode" window the process of soldering

thermo-profile begins. Additionally to that the button will appear left bottom part of the working screen, which let start soldering by thermo-profile immediately ignoring preset terms. This function is helpful in “Hot Start” cases. For more details see Section 6.5. Pic.6.2. shows program window during the Soldering by thermo-profile process.

Pic. 6.2

Button is purposed for marking any event what takes place during a soldering process by setting up time-marker (don’t mix up with Time tag).

Button let delay (temporary stop) the soldering process. When the “Pause” is on the manual devices control is possible (temperature of stabilization sittings change, heating channels on and off, air cooler on and off). While this, the option from “Modes” window is engaged -

or , (for more details see Section 10).

The Soldering process can be continued by pressing button .

Button asked for confirmation as shown in Pic 6.3.

Pic. 6.3

This soldering process continues until you click <OK>, then with a request the program saves the results. NOTE: Pressing the [ESC] key immediately terminates the process of soldering with all the heaters off but with request for savings the results. Second pressing [ESC] button closes the window without saving results.

6.1 Soldering by thermo-profile without correction.

This method of soldering is traditional and old, and supposes a profiling for both Top and Bottom heaters. In this method correct thermo-profile on a board is achieved by heaters Thermo-profiles correction.

For soldering by this method the process which includes required profiles for Top and Bottom heaters has to be created or downloaded (Fig. 6.4). It is not necessary to create a profile for a board. Creating a process it is necessary to link channel to thermoprofiles. These linking can be made through virtual panel of devices in main Menu, or in Edition mode by pressing button <Assign> or <Link profile>.

Pic. 6.4 Window before soldering process start up

35

Next, selection mark has to be put on in the “Soldering by thermp-profile”

window. Auto pause is to be removed - , as well as ,. For temperature control the Control sensor is to be installed on a board. And after that the Soldering process

is to be started by pressing button. Pic. 6.5 shows a results o Soldering by profile process. The Graph of blue color displays a board

temperature change (Control Sensor).

Pic. 6.5 Image of Graph Window after Soldering by profile process.

With this method of soldering it should be noted that following parameters will affect the repeatability of the temperature profile on a boar: distance between a board and the Top heater, room temperature, thickness of the board and a number of conductive layers, as well as the size of the selected aperture of IR emitter and other external factors.

6.2 Soldering by Thermo-profile with temperature correction on Top heater.

This method provides a soldering in feedback mode with automatic correction of the Top heater temperature by data received from a temperature sensor installed on a circuit board. The lower heater will work out a given profile. As a result, the program should follow thermo-profile specified for the printed circuit board.

For a soldering by profile with corrected Top heater temperature it is necessary to create or download a process that has a thermo-profiles both for Bottom and Top heaters and thermo-profile for a board as well (Pic. 6.7). Profiles can be created by a methodology presented in Section 5.2.2. In the Edit Mode channel assignmen should be done for the new process and link them to the appropriate thermoprofiles (button <Assignment>).

Pic. 6.6

After channels assignment and its links to thermo-profiles are set up the Top heater correction is to be

switched on. It is done by check mark on button , and switch off a Bottom heater correction

.To accept changes in settings press <ОК>. After that, if required, save the process and finish

editing. To start Soldering process press in main window.

6.3 Soldering by thermo-profile with correction both Top and Bottom heaters

This method provides a solder in feedback mode with automatic correction of the temperature both top and bottom heaters by data received from temperature sensor mounted on a board. As a result, the program should work thermo-profile specified for the board out.

For soldering by thermo-profile with the temperature correction on both heaters it is needed to create or download a process that meets the same requirements as in the previous case. It is also necessary to make a similar assignments and links. The difference is in fact that it needs both corrections for top and

bottom heaters are to be turned on and . Pic. 6.9 show a result of completed soldering process. As it is seen temperature of both top and

bottom heaters were corrected. Thermo-profile for a board is worked out more precisely then shown in Pic.6.8 for a case of top heater correction only.

38

Pic 6.9 Window after the Soldering

6.4 Soldering by thermo-profile using “Automatic pause” function In all soldering modes where Control Sensor is used additional function of “Automatic pause”

can be used. In cases when the heating up rate is not enough to perform required thermo-profile on a board the function automatically delay the process for one or multiple periods depending on error value, giving an additional time to heat up the board. In the following period the process continues, and if the gap is not eliminated again a pause follow again, and so on until the Control sensor temperature rise to the desired level. In general this is equivalent to a decrease in the profiles' slope. Auto pause is activated if the temperature sensor lag is more than 2 degrees from a predetermined profile for a board. Pic 6.10 shows the auto pause response moment. On Graph line end point appears as a pause run mark and then disappears after a pause ends (Pic. 6.10).

Pic. 6.10

This function is not recommended for modes without correction.

6.5 Function “Pause” use in a process of Soldering by Thermo-profile

Sometimes, during a soldering process a need to pause a process appears, for example for compound removing or sensor fixing correction. For this matter a Function “Pause” is available in the

Program. The pause can be turned on by pressing button . A pause time count will start. At this mode heaters cool down a little and a board heats up for some degrees. After needed actions are

Page 39: TERMOPRO CENTERtermoprocenter.com/files/IK-650/Termopro_Center_Manual...The “Termopro-Center” Program purpose The “TERMOPRO–CENTER” program was developed for control of “TERMOPRO”

39

completed the soldering process continue by pressing button . Arrow shows position of the pause in Pic.6.11. As it is seen a board temperature returned to predeterminated process values.

Pic 6.11

Function “Pause” can be used for soldering processes when a solder melting temperature is unknown, and a board temperature reached a maximum point of the Graph but it is still not enough for solder

melting. In this case the button should be pressed. Another button

will appear and two more and to right from it. These two last buttons let change a value of temperature (value is displayed in window near these buttons). Note that the temperature change occurs with a delay of 20 to 40 seconds, and the set point increment can be worked out with some delay, therefore constant control over the process is required in this very situation. If necessary, obtained value of increments can be further used to create or adjust the process for such boards soldering in future. The screen at the time of a pause in the temperature maximum point is shown in Pic. 6.12.

Pic. 6.12

The work result with a board additional “heat up” in melting zone is shown in Pic.6.13

Pic. 6.16

6.6 Soldering process “Hot Start up”

“Hot Start up” can be initiated by pressing a button but in a case when the board temperature is higher than initial temperature of the process thermo-profile, and a mode “Waiting for Control channel readiness” is on in “Soldering by thermo-profile” window (See Section 10).Using this option the time can be saved for cooling and next heating up of a board.

Results of the Soldering process “with hot stat up” presented in Pic 6.14. In this sample the board temperature at start was about 135 C, and therefore the program has started the process for 110

th second

where temperature of the profile was slightly less than 135 C. It is not recommended to use this Mode when a board temperature is higher than 150ºС -:- 160 ºС. Important to keep in mind that for more precise working

Page 41: TERMOPRO CENTERtermoprocenter.com/files/IK-650/Termopro_Center_Manual...The “Termopro-Center” Program purpose The “TERMOPRO–CENTER” program was developed for control of “TERMOPRO”

41

out thermo-profile it is important to turn correction on, as it was described in Section 6.3, and “Autopause” function use is preferable (see Section 6.4).

Pic. 6.14

6.7 Soldering process “Urgent Stop”

“Urgent Stop” can be realized by pressing a button if there is need to break process earlier during a soldering process, for example when it is obvious for operator that solder joint formulated properly and there is no need for further heating of the board.

Results of the Soldering by profile process using an Urgent Stop is shown on Pic 6.15. At the moment “Urgent Stop” button pressing a the board temperature was about 230ºС, and therefore the program automatically moved to point of 230 C but in cooling zone.

Pic. 6.15

7. Results of Soldering by profile process saving Soldering results can be saved in a file after finishing a soldering process. If saving “By request” is set up in Settings than “End of process” window will appear after the process

stops. (Pic 7.1.)

Pic 7.1 Dialogue window of results savings

If <Save results to file> selected the program offers the name for a file in a current date format:”RYYYYMMDDhhmm”, where YYYY- a year, MM-a month, DD-a day, hh-a hour, mm-minutes of the process start. If other name is needed above format can be changed. As a references, the program offers a line, for example: “Soldering by profile IK1-10KD>COM5, IK2-10AB>COM1. Process: Test 07. Process time = 486 sec, Real time = 486 sec”. If it is needed some notes or changes can be added in refer input field. File will be saved with given name in "Results" folder of the main Program Directory. Results can be downloaded for edition and analysis any time (See Section 8.) The process itself is also saved in the same file with soldering results

It is necessary to remember that folder "Results" can have too many files, and therefore it would be helpful to delete some useless files from there by Windows tools.

If “Autosaving” results option is selected in Settings them the results will be saved automatically in “Results” folder with name of date format:"RYYYYMMDDhhmm”, and information line on screen bottom will announce about that.

If “Don’t Save” option is selected in Settings than soldering will end without results savings to file. BUT! Not depending on that received results will be saved to bottom <I>. If any other results were saved at this bottom earlier these will be replaces with new ones. If the option “Autoshift” is selected in Settings the automatic re-writing of results from bottom <I> to bottom <II> ,<II> to <III>… etc, takes place. The symbol “>” between bottoms indicates that “Autoshift” mode is on.

Results saved on any of bottoms can be saved into file with extension .tpb, or in a text format. For this matter the bottom options are to be opened and bottom <Save> pressed with preliminary saving format selection.

Additionally to that the last completed processed can be saved with main Menu “File” functions. The folder “Results” contains file _results2012.txt which keeps brief information about ALL

soldering processes made during calendar year. File fields names are presented in a table below.

Date+time Process name File name res.. Comments Real rime (sec.) Operator

The Tab symbol is used in a table for fields’ separation, what let to upload the file into EXEL for further

analysis or print out.

8. View results of early saved soldering

The program allows displaying up to five earlier saved soldering process’ results. For this matter the same 5 bottoms (I-V) are used, which placed in right top part of the screen and serve for ThermoGraphs

savings. The use of that bottoms is described in Section 4.3. Pressing of bottom opens a window of Properties shown in Pic. 8.1

Page 43: TERMOPRO CENTERtermoprocenter.com/files/IK-650/Termopro_Center_Manual...The “Termopro-Center” Program purpose The “TERMOPRO–CENTER” program was developed for control of “TERMOPRO”

Pic 8.1 Propertied of data on bottom #II

With button Thermopgraph data can be saved in ASCII in the "Dat_files" folder if

format .dat (.txt) < > selected, or in folder "Results" if .tpb < > format selected. Text format described in Section 4.3.

Button allows to load earlier saved results. Upload to bottom dialogue window is the same as shown in Pic.4.5, but file uploaded from "Results" folder.

Button of “Profiles” field allows to turn displaying process profile. Additionally to that, Pressing a color line right of process name let change a color of displayed thermo-profile.

The button loads preliminary saved to file process and make it a current what can be used for Soldering process realization. If this process is necessary to save, it can be done by going to the Edit Mode and using steps described in Section 5.4, ie, use the buttons <Save> or <Save as>. It should be borne in mind that if the current set of devices connected to your computer is different from the set of devices connected to the computer when the soldering was done, at the boot process the program will display a warning about the need to re-link devices channels to thermo-profile. If contrast is only in the presence or absence of Fan FC-500 a warning about the possibility or no possibility to use a fan will be displayed, and channels links and assignments will be saved.

9. Group soldering (Mass reflow)

In contrast to the main Soldering mode which is supposed to PCB repair, the Mass mode is intended for a group reflow SMD-components on a board by thermo-profile. The main difference from commonly accepted methodology is that the soldering is carried out by contact method, e.g. Printed Circuit Board (or board) is placed directly on a heating plate working surface. PCB heating though is carried out from below, what allows to bring a thermal energy directly into zone of component leads contacts to PCB. Program TPC provides an automatic control of the soldering process along required thermo-profile. The program allows

Page 44: TERMOPRO CENTERtermoprocenter.com/files/IK-650/Termopro_Center_Manual...The “Termopro-Center” Program purpose The “TERMOPRO–CENTER” program was developed for control of “TERMOPRO”

44

creating, tuning and executing thermo-profiles optimization for that type of soldering. After creating a profile for a PCB the thermo-profile for a heater can be done in an automatic mode.

Soldering by thermo-profile allows to avoid a “fine tuning” process at all or to reduce it significantly. For this Mode a Control sensor is to be installed to a board surface and Bottom heater temperature correction is to be set up. The Graph of the Board Temperature Change will be displayed on a screen during a soldering process.

Mass Soldering (PDC-300 Holder)

9.1 Creating new process for Group Soldering Go into Edit mode and set up Mass Soldering option putting a check mark to

. Then create a new process with initial characteristics given in the Program

parameters by pressing a button . Edit thermo-profile for PCB in accordance with process requirements. One of these thermo-profile version for Lead contains solder is shown in Pic. 9.1.

Particularly it has to be noted that after the soldering zone (to the right of the top flat zone) a cooling zone was formed. The initial part of the zone in a temperature range 170 ° - 215ºC with a cooling rate of 1 ° C; and further cooling rate is 0.5ºC down to a temperature 100°C. Since the rate of natural cooling of a board is much lower of these values and in order to achieve such speeds the air cooler FC-500 has to be use. The fan switching tag has to be located a little to the left of the cooling zone, as shown in Figure 9.1. The initial set up fan speed does not matter (recommended rate = 1) if the process is allowed the fan speed correction

.

45

Pic. 9.1

For automatic creation of heating thermo-profile the Program has a function “Autoprofile” which let to

make thermo-profile for Bottom heater. Press a button and make an assignment and links for channels in appeared window, as it shown in Pic. 9.2.

Pic 9.2 “Assigning Channels” window

A channel "KD" of device IK1-10KD-pro is assigned as a control channel, and it must be linked to the

PCB profile (№1 in this sample). If your hardware configuration includes 3-channel temperature meter thermoscope TA-570M then one of his channels can be used as a control channel. If you have the device TP1-10KD in your hardware configuration his channel "KD" can also be assigned to a control channel as well.

In given sample a channel for heater of device Top IK of IK1-10KDpro is not in use. Channels "A" and "B" of device IK2-10AB are selected as lower heating ones. They should be left

without a links (profile №0) at this stage. If it is supposed to use the only one of two bottom heaters zones it is necessary to specify this very heater zone as a channel of the lower heating №1, and the channel of the lower heating №2 select "not assigned".

Page 46: TERMOPRO CENTERtermoprocenter.com/files/IK-650/Termopro_Center_Manual...The “Termopro-Center” Program purpose The “TERMOPRO–CENTER” program was developed for control of “TERMOPRO”

46

Put check marks for automatic profile generation for bottom heater. After pushing a

button the program will create thermo-profile for button heater, as it is shown in Pic 9.3 (dark blue).

Pic. 9.3 Results of profile creation with “Autoprofile” function

Bottom heater profile gets a next number and bottoms heater assigned channels to be linked

automatically. It can be double checked though parameters view in window “Assignments” (see Pic. 9.4.).

Pic. 9.4

For best results correction mode is needed for use in soldering. Correction Mode for created process

can be specified in the "Channels Assignments" window if to make a process saving after that. Correction enable can also be done directly in the main program window right before soldering process. To this check-mark has to be put in <Correction down> and additional function "Autopause" is to be allowed, as shown in Picture 9.5. A detailed description of the "Autopause" function, read Section 6.4.

47

The program will be changing the bottom heater temperature continuously by feedback data received

from thermo-sensor installed on a board if function of correction is on. Temperature mismatch caused by different factors will be compensated. Such mismatches can take place due to ambient temperature, heaters parameters variation, different thickness and a board difference in heat capacity, etc…

If the board temperature is higher than a thermo-profile setting the system will turn the AirCollers fan automatically after cross a point where Vent Tag allows air cooling. The Fan speed will be automatically adjusted upon temperature mismatch value.

Soldering by thermo-profile results are shown in Pic. 9.6

Pic. 9.6

Cooling zone can be created by air cooling fan without Speed Correction function (Correction is off).

For this matter Vent tags are to be installed n cooling zone and Speed rate is to be set up manually, as it is shown in Pic. 9.7. Values of cooling rate can be defined from previous soldering experiments.

9.2 Technology recommendation for conductive (contact) soldering.

1. For conductive method a board size up to 220 х 150 mm is recommended. 2. For boards with size bigger than 80 х 80 mm a corners clamping tools can be required. Because

of temperature variation along a board surface some deformation of the boards is possible (board sag) what is needed to be compensated.

3. Feedback thermo-sensor installation is recommended with assistance of PDS-300 holder unit. 4. Sensor should be installed not on epoxy glass surface but on conductor with width closest to

sensor width. A use a thermo-conductive past is recommended for better contact. Demo sample of thermo-profile for conductive soldering with Lead solder is saved in “RESULTS”

folder under the name «Групповая пайка свинец для зоны Б». Please feel free to rename it for your convenience.

“Creation Process” options define initial values which will be used for in Edition Mode for new process creation:

- initial number of profiles for process creation (1-8 profiles);

- Max Time scale value;

- Max Temperature scale value;

- default new process name; Soldering by profile options:

- soldering data readout interval;

- temperature accuracy pre-settings for channels;

- delay of warning about mistake in communication between device and Program. Within this time the program tries to re-connect;

- allowed control sensor temperature variation from the value set up by

thermo-profile. If temperature variation is higher than allowed the audio signal will play, if audio

signals are allowed by the Program in Main Menu;

- set up a tolerance line contrast against Graph background color. It

varies from 0% to 100%;

- allows automatic shift of soldering results savings along buttons

after the

soldering end. Turn on of this option is indicated with ">" symbol between buttons. The results of last

process made are saved always to the button < I >;

52

Pic 11.1 Window of Modes

Mode of beginning assigns one of 3 options for start of soldering:

- set up soldering by profile process beginning conditions when bottom preheating (Control sensor) reach required initial temperature of the profile with set up precision. If the start up temperature is higher that initial temperature of the thermo-profile then the program proves a cooling down to required level. This term is highly recommended for use in cases when the temperature correction option is off.

- set up a condition for soldering process start up with preheating upto set up temperatures on heating channels (heaters) with precision rate in accordance with set up. The temperature on a board (Control Channel) is ignored in this case. This term is recommended for processes without temperature correction.

- when this option is selected the soldering process starts immediately without preliminary board and heaters preheating.

- this options proved an additional request to operator for soldering process start up.

Pic. 11.2 Window of request for soldering start up

During the soldering by profile process operator can set up a pause in a process after that the Pause Mode controls the algorithm of heaters management.

- set up a condition for supporting a temperature on heaters at

the same level as it was just before pressing a button . If options “Correction Up” or “Correction Down” are on then the program keeps the board temperature (Control sensor) stable, as it was just before

pressing a button .

Page 53: TERMOPRO CENTERtermoprocenter.com/files/IK-650/Termopro_Center_Manual...The “Termopro-Center” Program purpose The “TERMOPRO–CENTER” program was developed for control of “TERMOPRO”

53

- set up condition to turn all heaters off immediately after operator

press the button during a process running. Upon the pause ends the heaters turn on automatically to continue the process. During the pause a manual heaters control is available using controller devices buttons. The current temperature values are displayed as a dots on Graph field and on virtual panels of devices.

Mode of Completion sets up one of 3 possible status for heaters after soldering process end:

- heaters turn off;

- heaters stay on supporting of final point temperature of the profile;

- heaters stay on but go to initial profile point temperature; NOTE: above heater statuses work only when the soldering by profile process was worked out completely. But if the process was stopped by the operator by pressing button [Esc] the heaters will turn off.

- using this option recall a window “Soldering Modes” to monitor before soldering process start up. This check mark convenient during a process tuning. When serial soldering work starts it is better to remove check mark for saving a working time.

12. Tools for Termo-Graphics and results analysis

For analysis of Thermo Graphics received in result of soldering processes the following tools are available in the Program: measurement on screen “Tape measure tool”, scale change and Graph shift.

12.1 “Tape-measure tool”
