TN Graduation Requirements
• Earn a total of 225 credits• Pass specific subject requirements
• English: 40 credits (4 years)• History/Social Science: 30 credits (3 years)• Laboratory Science: 20 credits (2 years)• Fine Art or Language Other Than English: 10 credits
(1 year)• Career Technical Education (CTE): 10 credits (1
year)• Physical Education: 20 credits (2 years)• Health: 5 credits (1 semester)• Electives: 60 credits
Credits & Grading
• Students may earn 5 credits per class each semester for a total of 30 credits per semester or 60 credits per year
• Progress reports every six weekso Grading is cumulative
• Credits and final grades are earned at semester’s end
Freshman Grades Count!
• Colleges verify that 9th grade CP classes are passed with at least a C grade
• Recommendations for classes for future/advanced courses are dependent on grades in 9th grade prerequisite classes
• GPA for honors at graduation is cumulative• GPA is used for California Scholarship

Eligibility Index:CSU GPA x 800 + SAT Score
