TUGUEGARAO CITY- The contest for the Collaborative and Desktop Publishing started with a mini press conference to let the contestants know about issues this 9th day of January at the People’s Gym, Tuguegarao City.

This conference has the parts: Orientation, Question and Answer Portion and the Contest Proper together with the speaker and facilitators.

According to the participants, this contest is their chance to express their different skills to their school and to their family or coaches and advisers.

This contest called collaborative means to work together as a team. The contestants has not just to deal with lay-out and design but also the content.

TUGUEGARAO CITY- The Department

of Education (DepEd) and Technical and

Educational Skills Development

Association (TESDA) has launched the

“Get your gulay on: Grand Gulay

Cook-off challenge”.

This contest aims to encourage

making healthy foods and healthy snacks

made of vegetables from the Gulayan

Paaralan Program in public schools.

In this program, students will be

the one to judge if which is the most

delicious and the healthiest dish in the

challenge. More than a hundred of schools

are participating in this said challenge,

where they will cook healthy food without

preservatives. Chefs should cook a dish in

the pattern of go, glow and grow foods so

that they could not be disqualified in the

challenge.

Terrorism invades Pakistan

TUGUEGARAO CITY- The Department of Education (DepEd) together with the Filipino students, condemns terrorism against school personnel and children at Peshawar, Pakistan this recent year, 2014.

This event secures the Child Protection Policy Republic Act 10257 but it does not mean that when there are accidents like this, the DepEd will issue this policy that says there will be militarization inside schools. According to DepEd Secretary, Brother Armin Luistro said that just because there is an accident like this means he should put up militarization inside schools. The military groups are only allowed to be inside the school proper during activities like the medical checkups and Brigada Eskwela before each year to get ready for school time again. This school which has the militarization inside the property when they are not allowed will have no punishment. But they are also expected to not

do or repeat this incident again. This accident at Peshawar, Pakistan happened not in purpose because the school personnel and school children have nothing to do with this said issue. This accident has imitated other countries to be activated by this issue and some countries like the Philippines to not do or activate this issue because of any valid reason.. Right now, there are some listed school personnel and children who have died and others were brought to the hospital because of severe injury. The Republic Act 10257 was signed in the year 2012. Militarization also applies other reasons why the secretary of DepEd Philippines did not approve this said issue.

There is a held mini press conference at the People’s Gym for the Collaborative and desktop publishing this 9th day of January 2015.

Some speakers and facilitators were invited to attend the event and at the same time, to orient the participants what to do during the contest proper. Anyway, what happened during this conference?

In this conference, we have the simple parts like the orientation, question and answer portion and the most important part, the contest proper.

In the orientation, the speaker announced what are the guidelines and also explained to the participants what is the meaning of the word collaborate means.

In the question and answer portion, both the elementary and secondary level joined and questioned the speaker about the issues like the Amendment and additional provisions to DepEd order number 45,s. 2007, DepEd, TESDA launch “Gulayan Cook-Off Challenge”, DepEd affirms “no militarization in schools”, Solidarity statement from DepEd secretary on the Pashawar school attack, 2015 Palarong pambansa in Tagum City, Davao Del Norte, UNESCO launching a new project to fight EBOLA through social media and Philippine wide WI-FI program.

The contest proper is also being held to know which will be the school to have the best output and that will identify who will win the award.

In these days, many conferences are being held. In these conferences, we can learn so many lessons about these issues and we have to learn them.

To the participants, they have to do the necessary things or stuff to make sure that they are ready for this challenge and to tell them that they really deserve to be one of the winners of this said competition.

The Department of Science and

Technology or DOST is planning to put a

program where Filipinos from chosen

regions could get wi-fi without charge.

And because of the free internet, they

could talk to their relatives from different

countries, and they could entertain

themselves if they are bored.

Some people agree to the plan of

DOST, but some disagree because the

DOST is going to use the taxes that we

pay for the said program, and because they

knew that they were going to use the tax

that we pay many people disagreed to the

program.

There are disadvantages and

advantages in internet, that’s why some

people disagreed in the plan of the DOST,

but some agreed because they thought of

the advantages, but they forgot about the

disadvantages of the internet.

They didn’t know that if we had free

internet, we could always be updated of

the news, we could talk to the people that

we miss who are in different countries,

there are many things we could do if we

had free internet.

If we had free internet, we could

watch videos to entertain ourselves, we

could also do our assignments if we had

free internet. The disadvantages of free

internet are people can get bad influenced

if they watch bad videos in the internet.

They could also damage their eyes

Does militarization could help us in keeping us safe? Or will it be the one to be the cause of thousands of deaths? Is it good or bad? Will it stop children from cutting classes? Will it help the teachers to discipline the children? Or will it be the cause of all the bad things going to happen?

Militarization could help in keeping us safe if the people from the military program could do their jobs well. But if they won’t do their jobs, they could be the cause of thousands of deaths. So if militarization will do their jobs, they could help in keeping students, and teachers safe.

No militarization could also help in keeping us safe, if students are disciplined enough to take care of themselves and their responsibilities.

But, if students are not disciplined enough, teachers need to be stricter to the students so that the students could take care of themselves and their responsibilities.

Militarization should be the leaders of peace, not the leaders of war, because if they won’t lead the children in the good way, our future leaders will be the one causing many deaths, and we don’t want that to happen. So militaries should be trained first before being distributed to schools.

healthy. They are used as drinks candies

and foods. To promote nutrition among

DepEd and TESDSA finally

launch the “Gulayan Cook-Off Challenge”

to promote nutrition among

children. The contestants cook a

healthy and nutritious food for

the children and DepEd and

TESDA will make a decision who

will be the winner.

The participants are

from100 elementary schools

from Taguig. The vegetables

from the Gulayan sa Paarlan

Program in publics are used

to make healthy snacks.

Would the children enjoy the

foods? Yes, of course. The children would

enjoy and eat it because maybe the

contestants would make a food which is

catchy to the eyes of the children that

would not make them notice that it is

made out of vegetables. They would also

enjoy it because they a tasted a healthy

snacks.

The winner of the cook- off

challenge is Kalalukay Tart. Maybe, she

did their best to make a nutritious food for

the children and she really wants to win in

order to help others. Also for the contest-

ants that who didn’t made it to top, they

also did their best and worked really hard

and they can still help in cooking more

nutritious food.

Making a nutritious food is such

a good thing to make others to eat

vegetables. Children will also be healthy.

By these healthy vegetables the influence

of eating vegetables will grow more and

this can also be a good advantage to us

and other people.

Vegetables are cooked and made

in many ways. By this way, children

would like it and these vegetables could

help them to be healthy.

The contest is really helpful to the

children. Not only because of the contest,

it’s because of the advantages we can

get.

Maybe, the challenge for the

contestants is really hard because of

thinking what recipe would they cook

and when will they finish.

About joining the contest, we

should think first if this contest will have

a good advantage and if it would be a good

one? And also about eating vegetables is

good for our health and it makes us more

active and healthy.

are really prepared.

are giveo a work to do aod the cootestaots are really

world.

After the cootest, the cootestaots proceeded

agaio to the meetiog place aod waited for the resvlt of

the wiooers.

The cootestaots prepared really well io order

to wio aod io order to be ooe of the top writers. The

RSPC eveot is really excitiog ooe thao before. This ooe

is a good ooe aod a prepared ooe.

Wi-Fi’s this time are really helpful

to us because of searching anything

from the internet and because of the

growing population of Wi-Fi users,

DOST planned to boost it in order to

make the connection faster.

DOST’s program plan to

tapped 3 B for the Wi-Fi program. All

of the Wi-Fi users around PH-Wide

would now experience a faster

internet connection and this will make

people use wi-fi all the time.

Wi-Fi can also be good for

our studies and more. The wi-fi

program will be really good thing

because of the good advantages like

getting a good and fast internet

connection.

But there is also a bad

advantage like the population of wifi

users will also grow bigger and the

money would just be spend in bad

way.

The wifi program will be a

right thing because of the more wifi

spots and more wifi connections. This

also makes the other people to

experience to surf the internet and

search what they want to search.

People would surely be

happy because the Department of

Science and Technology (DOST) will

make a project about it. This wifi

could also help in our works.

But even if we search the

internet we should still be careful

because we can be addicted in

surfing the internet all the time and

this could damage our eye sight. This

could also make us sick.

Good advantages can be

really a good one if we’re careful in

we do all the time and bad

advantages will be really bad if we

will do the bad thing about surfing

the internet.

The wifi programs explain

about the good connection and good

internet searching.

But, not every time we will

use the internet could lead us to the

right thing we are searching for and

this could expose us from radiation.

Always remember, that wifi is

not the solution to just do any other

thing, it is used for a good situation

and a good searching for what we’re

searching. Don’t just search anything

if we don’t need it in order to save

energy.

Region 2 defeated Region 7 impressing their fellow opponents with

their extraordinary pitches and highly powered hits in the Philippine

National Games (PNG) at Tagum city Davao del Norte December 17, 2014.

Central Visayas takes the first shot to hit the ball the pitcher of Tugue garao city pitch a fastball but central Visayas amazingly hit the ball and scored.

Tuguegarao city now release a monster energy and pitched a fast ball until it’s strike 3, everyone is surprised by his pitch.

The pitcher pitched his hardest pitch but the batter hit the ball again and again.

Tuguegarao city is their time to shine to hit the ball but there was a little mistake hitting the ball.

Tuguegarao city bounced back and swing the bat very hard like a rocket again and again and becoming very tired,the game was almost over.

Central visayas pitch their hardest but Tuguegarao finally hit the very spectacular and won the game, they truly serve their region.

Their coach is very happy that his team won for he head trained them very well and it paid off their practice to battle their yellow opponent. They didn’t give up when they knew they were losing, the players made a great team when playing baseball.

They didn't expect that they would win, they just released their best to win the game because they want to make their country proud of them, and to show to the others that they could be the winners.

After the year 2014, some of the teams are

practicing for the 2015 Philippine Nation-al Games; we all know they will do better than before, they will make their team more invinsible and stronger than we im-agine. They will do whatever it takes to

win the game to serve their region to be great, giving up not an option to them; their coach will make his team the best and do whatever it takes for their athletes to be spectacular. The athletes also trained themselves to have an extra ordinary rip off the skeletons of their foes and to impress their opponents and proved their

foes that they were wrong of the team are losing. They will always cooperate in the incoming game to do what they are supposed to do to have the victory and to make the country proud of them. At last year’s PNG, Tuguegarao City won over

Who will win in the PNG this 2015 ?

Many people said that the Philippine National Games will be exciting. Many of them chose Tagum City at Davao Del Norte where the PNG will be held.

Tagum City had 16 votes in the voting of places where the Palarong Pambansa will be held. They chose Tagum because most of the voters said it is aside, neat and modern place.

The last Palarong Pambansa is held at Laguna. Many sports writers bcame from Palarong Pambansa and became varsity players like Lydia De Vega.

Since there are 17 regions, there will be 14 groups that will fight at different sport competitions.

The Philippine Sport Commission said that there will be no exact date when will be the PNG or Philippine National Games.

The datum concerned to the PNG will be available through media by Chairman Archie Garcia.

Many people were expecting that the PNG results would be good and exciting.
