• This terrorist organization was founded in 1988 by Osama Bin Laden.
• Members of Al-Qaeda are recruited from all over the world – particularly in the Middle East.
• They are extreme Muslim fundamentalists, meaning they are Muslim – but practice EXTREME forms of the religion.
• Most Muslim people are NOT terrorists.
