Inep is a Research Institute that is tied to the Education Ministry and our mission is to promote studies, researches and evaluations about the Brazilian Education System.

Deed is the division in Inep which is in charge of educational statistics. For this, we plan, promote and coordinate the collect of elementary, secondary and tertiary education data.

As from 2009, the data collection started to be individualized. The system began to register the data from each student, teacher and program.
