Students received new words in class today.

Homework:

Tuesday- Sort and write words in the Word Study notebook

Wednesday - Write your words in ABC order (2 times each)

Thursday - Write your words with a color pencils. Write all vowels blue and all consonants red.

The student will locate and describe major geographic regions of North America: Coastal Plain, Appalachian Mountains, Canadian Shield, Interior Lowlands, Great Plains, Rocky Mountains, Basin and Range, and Coastal Range; Continents are large land masses surrounded by water. Geographic regions have distinctive characteristics.

The student will locate major water features and explain their importance to the early history of the United States: Great Lakes, Mississippi River, Missouri River, Ohio River, Columbia River, Colorado River, Rio Grande, St. Lawrence River, Atlantic Ocean, Pacific Ocean, and Gulf of Mexico; and The United States has access to numerous and varied bodies of water.

HW: Quiz Wednesday on the characteristics of the 8 Regions, along with retakes of the 8 regions map. Study notes in your notebook.
