1. Zoneworks Test Procedure

Preparing to Test Step 1

Logon to Zoneworks Software (ensure Zoneworks Monitor is running) Step 2

Record software version Help>About>Application Version X.X.XX (Check with Clevertronics to ensure latest software version is installed) Step 3

Perform Database Backup prior to running tests System>Backup Databases>(select location to save)>OK (wait for message to confirm backup successful)

Is Zoneworks monitor running at the bottom of the screen?

Select OK, there is NO User Name or Password by default

Step 4

Check that the site doesn’t have an automatic schedule test due to run shortly:

1. Reports>Reports Version 1>Scheduled Tests Ensure all groups are ticked Do Not select the Display Past Tests option (not necessary) Select Test Type as Discharge Test Select Create Report Review the Scheduled Tests report date by the “Scheduled Date” column to ensure that there isn’t a test due to run shortly

Check that the site hasn’t recently run a test:

1. Reports>Reports Version 1>Test Results Ensure all groups are ticked Select Test Type as Discharge Test Select Last Test Only Select Landscape Select Create Report Review the Test Results report date by the “Time” column to ensure the last discharge test was greater than 6 months previously.

Note: These checks are to ensure the exit and emergency lights are not tested more frequently than 6 months as per manufacturers recommendation. Step 5

Go to Channels View > select “Wink Routers” to confirm communications with all routers on-site. If routers are offline indicated with a red cross then rectify online status prior to performing a test Note: If router is offline check that it is energeised, that the backbone cable is still connected, do a power reset to router

Clear Re-Test Group(s) Prior to running a new emergency lighting test the retest groups should be cleared of all quarantined fittings and all fittings sent back to their default group so that they are included in the new test. Go to Groups View and select “retest group” (note if collections have been created there may be more than 1 x restest group) Highlight all fittings in restest group and select “Move selected units to default group”then select “Yes”

Performing a Test Move to Groups View and select “Program or Perform Test”

1. Select Test Level >Group or Collection depends on site setup 2. Select either individual group / collection for area testing or All Bound Groups/Collections

for entire site 3. Select required Test Date 4. Select Test Time

Important Note: by default this is the current time, you should always move this to a later time so that a test isn’t triggered immediately Hint: You should also consider scheduling tests at times to minimize occupant impact such as 1.00am.

5. Select Duration (normally 90 minute) 6. Select Test Frequency (normally once off)

Note: If you select frequency as 6 monthly, Zoneworks will automatically schedule tests every six months into the future based on the current date.

7. Select “Schedule all retest groups in 24 hours” (Untick Isolate Routers if ticked). 8. Select OK

You will receive a confirmation that a Test has been programmed> Select OK. IMPORTANT NOTE: Once you select OK the confirmation window will disappear but the Program Test Window will remain, DO NOT PRESS OK AGAIN otherwise you will schedule multiple tests at the same time and the fittings will fail, close this window with red X

You will then leave site and allow the test process to run, after the fittings go into test at the scheduled time the system will record the fitting results at 90 minutes but the test will actually run for 4 hours to fully cycle the batteries. The system will also automatically retest the failed fittings only 24 hours after (allowing time for batteries to recharge) the initial test to validate the results. Test Results will be available in 2 days after the initial test commenced.

Collecting Test Results Perform Database Backup following a test System>Backup Databases>(select location to save)>OK (wait for message to confirm backup successful) Following a Test the failed fittings will automatically be moved to the associated “Retest Group” Select Groups Display>Retest Group Select>”Recollect Failed Devices” > Select OK and allow the system to ensure it has all the test results available from each fitting.

Following Recollection Test results are available at: Reports>Reports Version 1>Test Results

It is recommended that the Test Results Report is saved to Excel Format via the Save Button to enable report interigation.

It is also recommended that the Faulty Fittings Report is generated and saved: Reports>Reports Version 1>Faulty Units
