The visit is being coordinated with AUSRAPID, an organisation that promotes active inclusion of people with disability into mainstream sporting activities.

the 17th to 24th of March with the Opening Ceremony held at the MCG on the 16th.Benalla hosted an international tennis match between Australia and USA in January 2014, an event

which was well supported by the Benalla community and the Benalla Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club. “After the success of the International Tennis friendly in 2014, AUSRAPID approached local cricket clubs to see if it would be possible to arrange for two teams to play friendly matches against Australia and England. The support has been amazing with not only organising teams to play but also adjusting the competition draw to enable the event to take place.” Robyn Smith CEO Ausrapid.

Teams will arrive in rural scenery and Benalla’s hospitality before returning to Melbourne to take part in the Inas International Cricket Series, which is a mixture of T20 and 40 over matches.

“We know the Benalla Community will make the players welcome and we look forward to seeing everyone at the Benalla Showgrounds and Gardens Ovals on Sunday 15 March.” Trevor Saker, BDCA President.
