    Symptom

l You have Absences or Attendances in your HR system but you can not extract them using transaction RSA3 or with the Infopackage

    Environment

    SAP_APPL

    Cause

l In transaction SBIW you have not customized your Absence or Attendance types correctly or at all

    1760421 - RSA3 or Infopackage does not return any/some Reporting Time types for Absences/Attendances for 0HR_PT_1 0HR_PT_2 0HR_PT_3 0CA_TS_IS_1 0CA_TS_IS_2

Version 3 Validity: 03-05-2014 - active Language English

  • Resolution

This example employee has two absences in Sept, 2010 and Nov 2010.

At that time he is organizationally assigned (infotype 0001) to personnel area CAYA, subarea TCHR. Now look into table T001P for this area/subarea, you will find that a MOABW of 09 is assigned to this subarea (MOABW is a modifier for absences).

Now verifying this against extractor config in T557G shows, that you have no entries for AWART 0200 and MOABW 09. There are some entries for other MOABW like 08, which is why you get data for employees assigned to such subareas.

If you had an entry with MOABW 09 and AWART 0200 in T557G, it would show the data for this employee. It should be similar for the other employees you are missing. You have to go over your config again and add some entries, there is no software error, When you look into the configuration of reporting time types in transaction SBIW, you will see, that the assignment of absence types to reporting time types depends on two modifiers, the first on GrpgRptg, the second one PS grpg (Personel subarea grouping). The first one, GrpgRpt, can be set via a feature, in your case the value will be always 01 and this is also what the reporting time types are configured for, so you are ok regarding this first modifier. The problem is the second, you have done reporting time type configuration only for PS grpg = 01. When you look into table T001P (Personel subareas) via transaction SE16, you will see, that about half of your personel (sub-)areas have MOABW = 01, these are the ones you get data for.

Myexample,employee5667119isassignedtopersonel(sub-)area TR35/SPACE which has MOABW = 35, but for PS grpg = 35, there are no reporting time types customized which results in no data.

If everything is setup correctly then check below:

The absences, attendences, time and wage types in the source system are assigned to reporting types with time units. It might be that some reporting time types are different to others. If the customizing view-cluster VC_T557I seems to be correct, there still might be a difference between view cluster and database (caused by an error that was fixed long time ago but the wrong records might still be on the database). You can compare the records in the view with records in tables t557g (absences, attendances), t557h (time types) and t557i (wage types), or most likely sufficient, delete and recreate the records in VC_T557I.

You can run the below transactions or reports to create them automatically. For more information see the documentation tab in transaction SE38 for the report.
