This note describes how you can enhance the dynamic selection (selection screen of a PS report).

Reason and Prerequisites

All reports using logical database PSJ. You can only include fields of tables into dynamic selection which are listed after instruction "selection-screen dynamic selections for table:" in Include DBPSJSEL. Free selection is possible in a PS report only if the table that contains the corresponding field is entered under the tables statement in the declaration part of the PS report. For example, free selections do not appear in cost reports if they refer to fields in table PRTE since data from table PRTE is not read in cost reports.

Solution

1. Execute Transaction SE36.

2. Logical Database Builder: PSJ

3. Choose "Extras -> Selection views".

4. Copy selection view "SAP" to "CUS".

5. Change view "CUS".

6. Go to "Tables", select the correct table, for example table ACT01 for object type "Activity". Here, you must ensure that this table is also listed under "Extras -> Dynamic selections" - only these tables can be used.

7. Double-click on the table name.

8. In the "Fields of the table", select the fields desired and allocate them to one of the "Functional groups".

9. Save.
