The CARe project has been driven in his realization by 3 founding principles:

• Had to be the littlest and safest dongle on the market

It’s necessary to have the smallest size to be fitted

without the risk of disturbing the driver, or generate

All OBD dongles that keep being connected firmly to the CAR should be steadely

connected for granting:

a) That the inertial sensor (we have one on board) is solid with the frame of the

car;

b) That the dongle will not detach itself due to vibrations or crash:

For these two given reasons TEXA CARe is the only dongle in this category with a

metallic security clip.

Strategically TEXA has thought (but there are other variants that can be applied

for any need) that the OBD dongle should not generate added telephonic costs

for the driver.

Therefore TEXA CARe works with the driver’s smartphone data plan.

For trasmitting data about safety and car security, TEXA CARe connects through

a Bluetooth Low Energy chip to the driver smartphone. The smartphone is used

as visualization interface and communication bridge to emergency call center

and car garage

How does CARe comunicate:


All dongles that are connected to the OBD have to be built and homologated in

Conformity of automotive requirements. TE XA is certified ISO TS 16949 and

CARe has been built after these specifics, having most in focus the lowest drain

consumption possible when the car is switched off. Our values are lower than

what OE requests.

Data protection encrypted

In a system as far flung as connected cars, security has to be designed

especially for and built into every component.

TEXA CARe for trasmitting data applies to a STS (Security Token Service)

functions as the basis for all security components that govern interaction

with the vehicle.

The service creates encrypted tokens that can only be decrypted by

the associated/related vehicle…

Our authentication method is made really safe through single PIN.

All communication data between CARe the user smartphone, the garage

network and TEXA is also encrypted.

what information we can supply. We might also manage the connectivity,

monitor the information flow and normalize it into a standard set of

RESTful APIs that OEM developers can easily integrate into their own

applications, relying to our HW and specific request of Firmware.
