While your older youth attend the unique and exciting programs of the Texas High Adventure Base, younger Scouts can attend one of the Longhorn Council’s three summer camps: Camp Tahuaya, Worth Ranch, and Sid Richardson Scout Ranch.

Worth Ranch Worth is one of Ameri-ca’s oldest and finest traditional Scouting programs. Located 60 miles west of Fort Worth on the Brazos River at the foot of Kyle Mountain. Your Scouts

can climb, fish, row, canoe, kayak, hike Kyle Mountain, swim in our 2 pools, see outstanding campfires, and eat in our big air-conditioned Duncan Dining Hall. Worth hosts our Brazos River Canoe Trip 50 miler.

Camp Tahuaya Camp Tahuaya is a beau-tiful, heavily forested 150 acre camp 50 miles north of Austin with the largest natural spring in Texas. Tahuaya features an outstanding First Year Camper Program, trout

and bass fishing in a spring-fed lake, and a huge model rail-road facility, and hosts our Sea Kayak & Caving Trek.

Sid Richardson Scout Ranch (SR2) Texas–size camp with 15 miles of rugged shoreline on a 10,000 acre Lake. SR2 offers over 70 Merit Badges, an air-conditioned din-ing hall, large pool, Technology Center,

Flight Simulation Center with 16 networked F-16 cockpits (featured in Scouting Magazine’s Cool Camp section), horsemanship, Sailing Base, Blobs, and much more. SR2 hosts Chisholm Trail—our flagship high adventure program.

BRAZOS RIVER CANOE TRIP BRCT is a 50-mile canoe camping trek that is a Worth Ranch tradition! Earn BSA’s 50 Miler award. BRCT is a great high adventure prep trip for a

Northern Tier Trek. Any Troop or Crew may send a group to BRCT.

TEXAS KAYAK ADVENTURE The Texas Kayak and Caving Adventure is for groups of older youth and adults, usually with younger Scouts doing summer

camp at Camp Tahuaya. Any Troop or Crew may send a group on the Trek. Must be 12 or older.

STEELE ISLAND WAKEBOARD Spend a week learn-ing to wakeboard. Steele Island is a wakeboard and ski program for older Scouts, Venturers, and adults on beauti-ful Lake Bridgeport

at Sid Richardson Scout Ranch (SR2). The program fo-cuses on developing your wakeboarding and skiing skills. Must be 13 or older.

CHISHOLM TRAIL ADVENTURE Our flagship program since 1999. Boy Scout Troops, Venture Crews, and other groups from 44 states, ENGLAND,

SCOTLAND, and MEXICO have come to CHISHOLM TRAIL!

GET A BOAT FOR A WEEK! Use one of our 24 pontoon boats for a week to haul your gear and travel to the high adventure outposts and watersports bases on our 15 miles of shoreline on 10,000 acre Lake Bridgeport. Must be 13 or older.

HIGH ADVENTURE OUTPOSTS U.S. Cavalry “Fall in, Trooper!” It’s 1874 and you’re a new recruit in the 4th U.S. Cavalry Regiment. We'll train with cannons and carbines and move out to fight in a Texas frontier battle reenactment.

Vikings Welcome to our Viking Village! We'll sail and row a Viking ship on Lake Bridgeport, share a hearty Norse supper, learn medieval combat skills, and then use our Viking shields and weap-ons to fight in a Viking battle reenactment!

Texas Rangers Experience the life of a volunteer Ranger on the Texas frontier! It’s 1842 and the Griffin ranch has been robbed. Join the local Texas Ranger volunteer company as they saddle up and hit the trail and fight a battle reenactment!!

ATVs Join our certified instructors for the official ATV SAfety Institute Rider Certification course. You’ll do skills practice and safety train-ing and a 4 hour wilderness trail ride.

Covert Ops “Volunteer” to recover top-secret weapons from an aircraft crash site. Your mission brief-ing will introduce night vision scopes, GPS, radios, and satellite uplinks to accomplish your covert mission.

Drone Racing FPV (first person view) flying means that pilots see what the drone sees, wearing head-mounted displays showing live footage from a camera in the

nose of the drone. Fly simulators and drones through gates and flagson an outdoor course.

Sporting Clays A shotgun sport in which skeet are presented to the shooter in the flight pattern of real game birds or rabbits. You’ll shoot 40-50 targets at our Outpost.

Climbing On the cliffs of Hermit’s Cave. Our climbers have opened over 25 new routes for all skill levels from 5.8 beginner routes to 5.10+ advanced climbs!

WATERSPORTS OUTPOSTS Sailing Base Spend your afternoons on the water using our 20+ sailboats, plus sailboards, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards.

Wakeboard Tubing Blobs Or cool off in the afternoon getting launched from the Blobs, tubing, & wakeboarding.
