ItisareminiscentofthebraveryandcourageofthemightyRajputs,whohadplayedaremarkablerole

inthehistoryofmedievalIndia.Ajeepwouldbethereto&frothemagnificentAmberFort.

LatervisittheBagruVillageknownasthemaincentersofblockprinting.Thecraftofblockmakingand

and the double block printing workshops. The

‘design' is first drawn on paper& stretched outon a smooth surface of the wood. Themotif or

design is then pierced through the needles so

thatthe'impression'istransferredonthesmooth

surfaceofthewood.Youwillalsogetthechance

totryyourhandatpreparingtheblockandthen

Later experience the technique of Blue Pottery. Take a look at one of the most well-known items

Palace of Winds, popularly known as Hawa Mahal is perhaps the most well-known architectural

As Rajasthan’s largest fort,Mehrangarh forms a looming presence over Jodhpur. Visible frommiles

around, it is a grand statement of Rajput valor.Its constructionwas startedaround1459by the king

knownasthefounderofJodhpur,RaoJodhaandisbelievedtohavebeencompletedbyRajaJeswant

Singh in the secondhalf of the17th century. Thereare several palaces inside the fort. The fortoffers

magnificentpanoramicviewofthecity.


JaswantThadaissituatedontheleftsideofFortMehrangarh;infactitislocatedbetweenthefortand

thecity.Wellmaintainedgardenswelcomeyou inside thecompound,andprovideagreatbase to sit

back and reflect onwhat you’ve seen and experienced. This cenotaphwas built by Sardar Singhji in

memoryofhisfather.
