Tainan’s fruits and snack products are hot in Singapore! Business Development Strategy for the Advancement of Tainan City and its associated departments are currently holding an Agriculture Product Sales Event in Singapore. It was reported that 6 million NTD of products were sold in one week! Director-General, Wang Ming Hang explained that ‘according to Singapore’s chain-stored supermarket, with the rate of the current sales results, it is estimated that we will have an annual sum of about 900 million NTD’.

In order to promote Tainan’s agricultural products, on the 17th of November, Tainan City Mayor Lai Cing De, Public Policy Association, Tainan Agricultural Cooperatives Associated Press, and Gifts of Culture and Tourism Industry Development Association held a Quality Product Sales Event in the World City Supermarket in Singapore. Lai Cing De joined with Taiwan Embassy in Singapore’s representative, Shih Ya Ping, in cutting the red ribbon.

Lai Cing De explained that the fact that Tainan’s fruits and snack gift products have revenue of 6 million NTD in one week means that Tainan’s fruits and snack products must be popular in Singapore. Therefore, introducing Taiwan’s fine agricultural products to Singapore can benefit both Tainan farmers and Singaporeans.
