51. 1964 Popular Mechanics magazine article by Bert Dargie, comparing wood shafted

clubs to the then modern steel shafted clubs from the 1960’s.Arnold palmer the most

popular player from the 60’s used these clubs in the testing.

All of the (5) clubs were fitted with newer wood shafts and leather wrap grips, the driver is a

Howard R. Davis Special and the (4) irons are a mix of a Spalding Model M-6 Niblick, Wilson

Mashie, Tom Stewart Spade Mashie & OVB Mid Iron. The shafts are marked: Arnold Palmer,
