The field of Endoscopic Sinus Surgery has seen rapid growth in recent times. Most recent procedures and latest indications are being described on a regular basis. It is important for each one of us to stay abreast with these advances.

The workshops of KKR ENT Hospital & Research Institute always aim to teach the latest techniques of surgery and update knowledge in this field.

As has always been, this year Dr.Dharambir Sethi will be the Chief Guest faculty. We introduce Dr.Jo o Fl vio Nogueira Junior, a reputed Endoscopic Skull base Surgeon from Fortaleza, Brazil. The course will be a predominantly live surgery course and cover all topics from basic to advanced sinus surgery as well as endoscopic skull base surgery.

Jo o is Director of Sinus Centro – ENT Department, Hospital Geral de Fortaleza, Fortaleza, Brazil. He specializes in Endoscopic Surgeries for nose, sinuses and ear disorders and using 3 D reconstructions and virtual endoscopy for location of the frontal sinus. For the past five years he has done 23 publications regarding endoscopic techniques for various nasal sinus disorders including skull base surgeries and ear surgeries. He has published two silver books on Endoscopic middle ear anatomy and Endoscopic management of cholesteatoma.

Dr. D.S. Sethi is conducting his 15th Endoscopic Sinus Surgery Course at the KKR ENT Hospital & Research Institute, Chennai. He received his basic Otolaryngology training in Singapore. Obtained his FRCS (Edinburgh) in 1987 and in 1992 joined John Hopkins, Baltimore, USA, as Clinical Fellow for Rhinology & Endoscopic Sinus Surgery. Dr.Sethi has been invited to more than 120 International meetings, conferences & workshops in Endoscopic Sinus Surgery worldwide. Dr.Sethi was the Guest of Honour at Prof.Stammberger's 30th FESS course in Graz in 2002. He has conducted several workshops & instructional courses worldwide & has several publications to his credit. He has a special interest in Endoscopic Frontal Recess & Skull Base surgery. Presently he is Senior Consultant of ENT in Singapore General Hospital, Singapore.
