This Sunday, September 27, we observe the
106th World Day of Migrants and Refugees.
The theme for 2020 is “Forced like Jesus Christ to flee”.
Please read the enclosed letter from Bishop Fabbro with the
attachment for more information about the day. The letter provides
highlights of the excellent work being by the Diocese's Refugee
Ministries and Migrant Worker Ministry and thanks the many
parishioners and volunteers for giving of themselves to welcome and
accompany our new neighbours and offers ways we can welcome,
protect, promote, and integrate our brothers and sisters who come to
labour and live among us.
Journeying together in prayer, action and advocacy:
A report on the Refugee Ministries and Migrant Worker Ministry in
the Diocese of London is a look at the crucial work these Ministries
do, how they have adapted to the COVID-19 pandemic and contains
a selection of stories of charity and faith from people on the
frontlines. The report is at this link.
