Exodus 17:3-7: After the Israelites escaped from slavery in Egypt, God took care of their basic needs. Romans 5:1-2, 5-8: Christ died for us. God’s love is everlasting. John 4:5-42: Jesus told the Samaritan woman: “Give me a drink.” as he revealed to her the living water, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again; but whoever drinks the water I shall give will never thirst; the water I shall give will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” Now it was the Samaritan woman who said to Jesus, “Sir, give me this water, so that I may not be thirsty or have to keep coming here to draw water.”

I’m asking each and every one to be very much aware of the threat posed to all of us from the coronavirus and how much a danger it poses to member of our own community.Following the directives from our Archdiocese Offices, I ask that every-one who feels ill stay at home and not come to Mass.At Mass we should exchange the sign of peace without touching: a word of peace to one another is sufficient in this time of special care. And not holding hands at the Our Father should be suspended as well. Receiving the host in the hand is also recommended as a way of avoiding the spread of the virus. I thank you in advance for your efforts to avoid the spread of the virus in our community.
