Dr. Thatcher was raised in the Tampa Bay area. After graduating from Jesuit High School, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology and Microbiology from the University of Central Florida. He attended the University of Florida for his dental degree, and continued his education by completing a residency at the University of Florida where he was awarded a certificate of Ad-vanced Education in General Dentistry.

Dr. Thatcher is constantly updating his knowledge through continuing education and is actively pursuing his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry, a distinction awarded after success-fully passing a comprehensive exam and earning 500 or more hours of continuing education.

Dr. Thatcher currently serves as a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Florida College of Dentistry at their post-doctoral residency program.

Dr. Thatcher enjoys spending time with his wife, young son, and boxer Griffin, as well as exercising and playing golf.At Jacobs and Thatcher Dentistry, they are unconditionally committed to providing the highest quality of dentistry in a warm and friendly atmosphere. They are dedicated to offering individualized comprehensive care to maintain a lifetime of oral health.

They practice was founded in Sun City Center over 50 years ago, and they take pride in the relationships built in the community. And although they are the oldest practice in the area, they provide modern dental care, such as same day crowns, to ensure a lasting smile.

The Teaching to Excellence committee is in full swing, preparing to honor each local school’s “Teacher of the Year” and warmly welcome each school’s new teachers. There is still time to jump on this great committee. There are oppor-tunities for sponsorships and donations.

Father’s Day and 4th of July are right around the corner. I pray that all of our fathers, past, present, and future, have a day of peace, surrounded by loved ones. And may you all have a safe holiday.
