We’ve Moved! An exciting message from the Executive Director

The verse at the top of the page sums up how we feel after last year! We knew we’d be moving to Mill Street at some point, but as the year progressed, it seemed like we were running out of time.

We finally closed on Mill Street on October 30. Just five weeks later we moved our Program residents, chaplain, nurse, business offices, and our Give Away Center to Mill Street! At the beginning of the year it seemed impossible, but

God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly more than we can ask or imagine—and all the glory goes to Him!

Now that the move is finished, we are still fundraising to completely outfit the increased capacity for Rehabilitation and Learning Center Services. We have the capability to increase Rehabilitation Services by 20 additional men. Each dorm room will cost us $1,100—and we need 60. We have 5 dorm rooms sponsored and hope to have the rest sponsored by Easter!

Our Learning Center now has the potential to be doubled. We currently have eight

workstations but we need funding for the remaining eight stations. At $1,550 each, we hope to have local businesses sponsor a

workstation and complete the fundraising by Easter as well.

Right now, we’re busy feeding, sheltering and clothing our City’s homeless. Winter on the streets is a desperate place to be. Our goal is to reach out to the homeless and get them into our shelter. At that point, we can help them address the reasons for their homelessness and

move them into our Rehabilitation Program, where they have the opportunity to learn about Jesus Christ and make their way back into society as productive citizens. With your help, we can make it happen.

We are excited to see the blessings God has prepared for us this New Year!

The larger and more modern facility at 10 Mill Street, within Springfield’s South End, allows us to better meet the needs of the homeless we serve.
