What kind of holiday traditions make up your family’s celebration? Do you make or bake

something special? Is there a unique craft or activity that makes your holiday dis-tinctive? Would you please consider sharing this information with us? You may either volunteer to visit with your child’s classroom and share traditions with them there or simply pass on this information in writing to a manager so that they can

share it with everyone. Thanks in advance!

If your child is celebrating a birthday this month, we hope your plans include scheduling a Well Child exam for him/her. Child care Licensing regulations stipulate that all children enrolled in our school have proof of a yearly physical on file.

A special thank you goes out to Ms. Lovely (Cooper Lovely’s grandma) for her generous donation of community helper costumes and

holiday baking attire. She saw it on the newsletter as part of our wish list for the month. She stitched them and the children

adore them. Thank you so much!

Even though it’s only December, the teachers are already planning their January curriculum.

Our theme of “Discoveries Old & New” and its focus themes of “Dinosaur Discoveries” and “Adventures in Space” will be greatly

enriched by donations and loans from you. We are in need of:

Plastic or cloth dinosaurs of all siz-es

Felt & flannel to create dinosaurs

Dinosaur-themed stickers & stamps

Styrofoam balls

Paper grocery sacks

Empty 1 and 2 liter plastic bottles

Non-working computer keyboards and monitors

LED lights

Aluminum foil and other shiny objects

Milk jugs

Join us in congratulating our Pre-K teacher,

Ms. Sudha on her

10th Anniversary with our school! We are thankful for her dedication and

love. Here’s to many more years!

Metamorphosis: Frogs, Toads, and Toys

Frogs are extraordinary creatures, and go through a metamorphosis that never loses its magic. In the spring, children across the nation take joy in finding and observing tadpoles for both toads and frogs.

The process of metamorphosis is quite amazing and complex.
