That each student is an important part of the school community and their safety and well being is the center point of our vision.

That communication and professional understanding will serve to better protect our students.

In the importance of child protection policies to help prevent future cases of abuse or neglect.

Thai Child Protection Act of 2003 states,

Article 25: “Parents or guardians are forbidden to treat a child in ways or manners which constitute unlawful caring”.

Article 26: “A person is forbidden to commit or omit acts which result in the ‘torturing’ of a child’s body or mind”.

Article 19: “No one should hurt the child in any way. Even parents have no right to hurt their own child. Adults should make sure that the child is protected from abuse, violence and neglect”.

Infliction of physical injury. Creating a risk of physical harm. Committing or allowing any sexual offenses

against a child. Inhumane neglect or emotional cruelty. Extreme discipline with disregard for the

wellbeing of the child. Failing to take responsible steps to prevent

the occurencies listed above.

Unexplained bruises and welts. Bruises that appear in different stages. Injuries that reflect shape of outside force

(belt, paddle, shoe, cord). Unexplained burns especially on soles,

palms, knees, back or buttocks. Injuries inconsistent with information offered

by the child. Unexplained lacerations, abrasions,

fractures.

Child is left unattended at home for long periods of time.

Child consistently comes to school dirty and wearing clothes that have not been cleaned.

Child consistently comes to school without snacks, lunch, or money to purchase lunch.

No one accounts for the child before or after school.

Demonstrating disregard of a child’s pain and/or mental suffering.

Venereal disease in a child of any age.

Evidence or physical trauma or bleeding in the oral, genital or anal areas.

Difficulty in walking or sitting. Child running away from home. Child refusing to go home.

Suspected or confirmed cases of physical, sexual or emotional abuse and/or physical neglect must be reported to department heads.

Reasonable cause or suspicion that abuse or neglect has occurred must be reported to department heads.

Abuse that took place in the past must be reported to the department heads as long as the child is still in the home of the abuser.

Establishing and maintaining an environment where children feel secure and are encouraged to talk and are listened to.

Ensure that children know there are adults in the school whom they can approach if they are worried.

Zuwendung, Aufsicht, Schutz vor Gefahren...- Indikatoren für Gewalt / physische Misshandlung:- Schlagen, Schütteln (Kleinkinder), Einsperren, Würgen, Fesseln, Verbrennungen etc. - Indikatoren für sexuellen Missbrauch / sexuelle Gewalt:- Einbeziehen in die eigenen sexuellen Handlungen, Nötigung sexuelle Handlungen vor den eigenen
