Prayer for the

• Daniel 2:21 • (21) And he changeth the times and the

seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:

Daniel 4:10-17• (10) Thus were the visions of

mine head in my bed; I saw, and behold a tree in the midst

of the earth, and the height thereof was great. (11) The tree grew, and was strong,

and the height thereof reached unto heaven, and the sight thereof to the end of all

the earth: (12) The leaves thereof were fair, and the fruit

thereof much, and in it was meat for all: the beasts of the field had shadow under it, and the fowls of the heaven dwelt in the boughs thereof, and all

flesh was fed of it

Daniel 4:10-17• . (13) I saw in the visions of my

head upon my bed, and, behold, a watcher and an holy one came down from heaven; (14) He cried aloud, and said thus, Hew down the tree, and

cut off his branches, shake off his leaves, and scatter his fruit:

let the beasts get away from under it, and the fowls from his

branches: (15) Nevertheless leave the stump of his roots in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender

grass of the field; and let it be wet with the dew of heaven,

and let his portion be with the beasts in the grass of the

earth:

Daniel 4:10-17• (16) Let his heart be

changed from man's, and let a beast's heart be

given unto him; and let seven times pass over

him. (17) This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the

demand by the word of the holy ones: to the

intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of

men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and

setteth up over it the basest of men.

Daniel 4:25• (25) That they shall

drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with

the beasts of the field, and they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and they shall wet thee with the dew of heaven, and seven times shall pass

over thee, till thou know that the most High

ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to

whomsoever he will.

Daniel 4:28-32• (28) All this came upon

the king Nebuchadnezzar. (29) At the end of twelve

months he walked in the palace of the kingdom of Babylon. (30) The king spake, and said, Is not

this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the

might of my power, and for the honour of my

majesty? (31) While the word was in the king's

mouth, there fell a voice from heaven, saying

Daniel 4:28-32• , O king Nebuchadnezzar,

to thee it is spoken; The kingdom is departed from thee. (32) And they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with

the beasts of the field: they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and seven times shall pass over thee, until thou

know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of

men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will.

Daniel 5:21• (21) And he was driven

from the sons of men; and his heart was made like the beasts, and his dwelling was with the

wild asses: they fed him with grass like oxen,

and his body was wet with the dew of heaven;

till he knew that the most high God ruled

in the kingdom of men, and that he appointeth over it

whomsoever he will.

Jeremiah 27:5-7• (5) I have made the earth,

the man and the beast that are upon the ground, by my

great power and by my outstretched arm, and have

given it unto whom it seemed meet unto me. (6)

And now have I given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant; and the

beasts of the field have I given him also to serve him.

(7) And all nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son's son, until the very time of his land come: and

then many nations and great kings shall serve themselves

of him.

Ezekiel 29:19-20• (19) Therefore thus

saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will give the

land of Egypt unto Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon; and he shall

take her multitude, and take her spoil, and take her prey; and it shall be the wages for his army. (20) I have given him the land of Egypt for

his labour wherewith he served against it,

because they wrought for me, saith the Lord

GOD.

Question• How do we pray and

convince god to give it to a good & a great

leader  • Are we saying we are

satisfied with our leaders as a nation

• Now we want him to give it to a good

leader but how do we? • Watchers are angels,

the holy ones.

Answer• That men may

know that God rules in the

kingdom of me • If your purpose is

for men to know •  If you direct the

prayer to My Glory and

revelation of Me

1Timothy 2:1-6• (1) I exhort therefore, that, first of

all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; (2) For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may

lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

(3) For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God

our Saviour; (4) Who will have all men to be saved,

and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. (5)

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and

men, the man Christ Jesus; (6) Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

Answer• Same with praying for the

salvation of spouses, Why? Because God wants him

saved not for our marriages to be better

• “When I turn your nation around its for men to know I rule in the affairs of Men

• Not just Nigerians everyone says it’s only

God that could have turned this nation around.

• Give this nation right rulers who will bring you glory and take over the mind molders for your

glory!

through Prayer & Fasting in a story set during the 2nd World war Derek Prince explains:

• During the long and demoralizing retreat to the

gates of Cairo, God laid on my heart a burden of prayer, both

for the British forces in the desert and for the whole

situation in the Middle East. • Yet I could not see how God

could bless leadership that was so unworthy and

inefficient.

• I searched in my heart for some form of prayer that I

could pray with genuine faith and that would cover the needs of the situation.

• After a while, it seemed that the Holy Spirit gave me this

prayer: "Lord, give us leaders such that it will be for Your glory to give us victory through them."

• A small portable radio beside me on the tailboard of a

military truck was relaying a news commentator's

description of the scene at Montgomery's headquarters as he had witnessed it on the

eve of the battle. 

Shaping the World through Prayer & Fasting• He recalled how

Montgomery publicly called his officers and men to

prayer, saying, "Let us ask the Lord, mighty in battle,

to give us the victory.“ • As these words came

through that portable radio, God spoke very clearly to

my spirit, "That is the answer to your prayer."

• How well this incident confirms the truth about

promotion that is stated in Psalm 75:6-7.

Shaping the World through Prayer & Fasting• The British government chose

Gott for their commander, but God set him aside and raised up Montgomery, the man of

His own choosing. • God did this to bring glory

to His own name, and to answer a prayer which, by the Holy Spirit, He Himself

had first inspired me to pray.

• By this intervention, God also preserved the Jews in

Palestine from coming under the control of the Axis powers.

Lets Bring This Home!•  Why do you want to

succeed  • When I preach who is to

be glorified • It’s the same that men

may know that God rules in the affairs of my life

• Not my will but yours Lord.- Our Lord &

Saviour • May you increase and

may I decrease. - John the Baptist

• You succeed by your own power or you

succeed by HIS Power • If you choose to

succeed by HIS power you can’t share in HIS

Glory • Has any relative

success of this Church been

attributed to God or to our ideas and skills?

 Now Church• But God wants us to

succeed “That Men may know that God rules in

the affairs of Men” • Every Group, Unit or

Program in this Church is to glorify God and must be birthed in

Prayers and done with a singular motive!

• We can’t do any of these until we sort our

personal lives are sorted as well!
