THANK YOU:We can all appreciate a bit of emotional boost these days. In my case, it came on my birthday, April 30th. I was just fi nishing lunch with my wife, Marilyn, when daughter Lisa and granddaughter Jilian arrived. They announced a “Drive-By” was about to begin. A few balloons, a welcome sign & lawn chairs appeared on the front lawn. Then, as I looked down the street & around the corner, a procession of honking cars appeared. Arms were waving; balloons were fl ying; and, “Happy Birthdays” fi lled the air. Cards, candy & other goodies were coming at me! What an exciting birthday for an 83-year-old. My fi rst thought was that this will end quickly, but you good folks kept coming! My thanks to all of you for this joyful & fi rst-time experience. Thanks also to Marilyn, Lisa & Jilian. Little Sioux Corn Processors, LLC, an ethanol plant in Marcus, Iowa is seeking applicants to fi ll the position of Senior Accountant. This is a critical position on the accounting team that will be responsible for many of the day to day accounting activities and will work under the direction of the CFO. This individual will perform the monthly close procedures and the timely preparation of fi nancial statements, along with the reconciling and maintaining of the general ledger and other various tasks as assigned.
Qualifi cations and Experience:• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and/or auditing• Requires comprehensive knowledge of fundamental
accounting principles• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to formulate conclusions
from research and business process reports• Strong communication skills• Profi cient in MS Offi ce products such as Excel, Word,
PowerPoint, and Outlook• Additional requirements include good organizational skills, detail
orientated, ability to work independently, ability to handle multiple tasks and a strong work ethic
