The $23 Planter BoxThis planter box requires 9 Cedar pickets measuring 5 1/2” W x 6’ H x 5/8” D. It also requires one 8’ 2x4.

Cut the 2x4 in half length wise, leaving you with 2 2x2s. Cut the 2x2s as follows:

36” (2), 13” (2), 10” (4), 6” (4)

Cut the pickets as follows:

36” (6) - Long siding17 1/4” (6) - Short siding17 1/4” (6) - Short siding16 1/4” (6) - Floor boards

Cut the pickets in half lengthwise and at a 45° angle for the corner pieces.

Lastly, cut one picket in Lastly, cut one picket in half lengthwise, creating two lengths of 2 3/4” width. Create a picture frame for the top of the box - typically with two sides measuring 38 3/4” and two measuring 19 and two measuring 19 1/2”.

Assemble using brad nails, 3” 2ood screws and 1 1/2” wood scres. Water seal if necessary.
