    (BDCSM2019)

    Date: August 22, 2019

    Website: www.sites.google.com/view/bdcsm2019

Information Smart manufacturing is at the core of all present and future industrial innovations.

Connected things produce high quality customized products and provide services, by

using big data analytics which can improve decision making in the value chains of

manufacturing. This is based on the Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence

(AI), and is widespread in the manufacturing world including the ceramics industry.

Smart manufacturing fundamentally changes the way physical goods are produced

in all industrial sectors. While smart manufacturing presents unprecedented

opportunities for innovating exist industrial processes, interesting research

challenges are conducted to analyze the massive data generated by industrial

machines and smart factories. Novel big data analysis paradigms are needed to

optimize manufacturing processes and allow scalable, real-time communication

among industrial devices to meet the specific needs of different industrial applications.

The aim of the 1st International Workshop on Big Data for Ceramics and Smart

Manufacturing (BDCSM2019) is to bring together researchers from academia and

from industry to meet and exchange ideas on recent research and future directions

for smart manufacturing, focusing on solutions that can improve efficiency,

sustainability of the future industrial processes. The BDCSM2019 solicits

contributions about novel solutions and approaches, experiences and evaluations on

emerging technologies. The BDCSM2019 will be held in Jeju, South Korea on August
