All the Can-Am essentials are there – industry-leading performance, precision-engineered handling and rider-focused design – but taken up a notch for a more intense Can-Am experience. BRP engineers applied high-flow dynamics to the legendary Rotax® engine to unleash the most horsepower and thrill power of any side-by-side vehicle in the industry.

We haven’t simply built a new side-by-side vehicle. We’ve built a sport vehicle that is every inch an original. Discover the true potential of high-performance off-road riding as only a Can-Am vehicle can deliver.

To create the most powerful side-by-side vehicle ever, we started with the proven 976cc Rotax V-twin engine and applied state-of-the-art high-flow dynamics. it’s the same class-leading engine you’ll find in the Can-am Commander™ side-by-side and Outlander™ and Renegade™ aTVs – but optimised for pure sport performance. When an engine breathes easier, it can produce more horsepower. 

So we optimised air intake, combustion and exhaust flow to improve engine efficiency. The result is the 74.3 kW / 101 hp1 Rotax 1000R. even at low RPMs, it has the highest useable torque available* in the industry. Consider, too, that it provides the best power-to-weight ratio and acceleration, and you have a ride that exhibits all the standout performance you would expect from the newest Can-am side-by-side vehicle.

We developed numerous features to make the Can-am Maverick side-by-side more precise and agile, inspiring confidence during every moment of every ride. 

MID-ENGINE LAYOUT AND WEIGHT DISTRIBUTIONOther sport side-by-side vehicles feature engines toward the rear, increasing inertia and tendency to oversteer. Our Can-Am Maverick engine is toward the centre – between the two seats. Centralising weight leads to more agile steering and easier cornering. Plus, an ideal weight distribution for improved traction and handling.

TORSIONAL TRAILING A-ARMS (TTA) REAR SUSPENSIONThis is a compact version of a five-link suspension for no bump steer and the lowest scrub for optimised bump absorption and tyre-to-ground contact. It also has less unsprung weight than other sport side-by-side vehicles. Offers 356 mm [14 in.] of travel.

HIGH FRAME RIGIDITYThe torsional rigidity of the Can-Am Maverick side-by-side is made of a rigid frame that doesn’t interfere with suspension, allows for more precise calibration and gives the driver better feedback.

CARGO VERSATILITYThe multipurpose rear rack works with the LinQ™ quick-attach system, letting you quickly and easily install or remove a storage box, rack extension, bags or other items. An optional bed liner offers even more storage space. With 31.6 L of cockpit storage, you also get options throughout the vehicle to bring along whatever you need.

ADVANCED ERGONOMICSThe passenger handholds and grab bar increase comfort through a variety of conditions and riding styles.
