It is the true story of five American missionaries who were killed in January 1956 by the Auca Indians in Ecuador. Jim Elliot, Nate Saint, Ed McCully, Pete Fleming and Roger Youderian gave their lives to bring the gospel to an isolated and unreached tribe in the remotest parts of Ecuador. Following the death of these men, some of their family members were led to con- tinue the work in Ecuador by moving to that part of the world and living among the tribe that had killed their loved ones. This movie is a celebra- tion of grace and the Gospel overcoming all obstacles. We’ll gather in the Fellowship Hall to watch this movie. Make plans to join us for snack and an inspiring true story from the history of missions! BENEDICTION Dear Lord, You spoke to storms. Would you speak to ours? You calmed the hearts of the apostles. Would you calm the chaos within us? You told them to fear not. Say the same to us. We are weary from our worry, battered and belittled by the gales of life. Oh, Prince of Peace, bequeath us a spirit of calm. As we turn the hours of the day, will you turn a new leaf in our lives? Quench anxiety. Stir courage. Let us know less fret and more faith.
