En aquel tiempo, uno de los fariseos rogó a Jesús que comiera con él. Y, habiendo entrado en la casa del fariseo, se sentó a la mesa. Y he aquí que una mujer pecadora que había en la ciudad, cuando supo que se había sentado a la mesa en la casa del fariseo, trajo un vaso de alabastro lleno de perfume: y, poniéndose detrás de El, junto a sus pies, comenzó a regar con lágrimas sus pies, y los enjugaba con los cabellos de su cabeza, y los besaba, y los ungía con perfume. Y, respondiendo Jesús, le dijo: Simón, tengo algo que decirte. Y él dijo: Maestro di. Había dos deudores para un acreedor: uno debía quinientos denarios, y el otro cincuenta. No teniendo ellos con qué pagarlos, perdonó a los dos. ¿Cuál, pues, le amará más? Respondiendo Simón, dijo: Creo que aquel a quien perdonó más. Y El le dijo: Has juzgado rectamente. Y, vuelto hacia la mujer, dijo a Simón: ¿Ves esta mujer? Entré en tu casa, y no diste agua para lavar mis pies: ésta, en cambio, regó con lágrimas mis pies, y los enjugó con sus cabellos. No me diste ósculo: mas ella, desde que entró, no ha cesado de besar mis pies. No ungiste con aceite mi cabeza: mas ella ha ungido mis pies con perfume. Por eso te digo: Se le perdonan muchos pecados, porque ha amado mucho. En cambio, al que se le perdona menos, menos ama. Le dijo entonces a la mujer: quedan perdonados tus pecados. Los invitados empezaron a decir entre sí: ¿Quién es éste, que hasta los pecados perdona? Y le dijo a la mujer: ¡Tu fe te ha salvado; vete en paz!
