Shot number # 1ActionAlex is seen sitting in a field just outside the woods , waiting for his friend to return. The killer is just visible behind the treeline who is watching Alex , waiting for the right opportunity to kill him.Mise en sceneOvercast weather, set in the woods to give the feeling of isolation as they are surrounded by trees and bushes etc. The clothes are dark to suggest a depressing theme. Alex is also wearing a red hoodie that connotes death and danger. The killer is slightly visible to his dark blue clothing, covering his face. I want the audience to feel like they were part of the story and are included in the atmosphere of the setting, like they are isolated just like Alex.Camera (shot/movement/angle)Establishing shot – extreme long shot, camera slowly zooms in. Here, I wanted the audience to start having negative feelings towards this scene. The camera zooms in to focus where the scene will take place, which is the same with what I wanted to do with the establishing shot. The zooms also helps the audience to see if they can spot the killer hiding behind the treeline so they could feel begins to feel worried for Alex immediately.Soundtrack (effects/dialogue/atmos/music)Non-diegetic music carries over from the previous scene where it fades out a couple of seconds into the shot. Wind can be heard gushing and blowing wind throughout the area. Birds can be heard tweeting after a couple of seconds. I wanted to use slow, tense building music at the start of this scene to make the audience feel negative towards it, as they can already guess what is coming if they spotted the killer hiding behind the trees.Shot duration3-4 seconds

Shot number # 2ActionAlex is still sitting waiting for his friend to return. The killer has moved position slightly and is still looking at Alex on the ground.Mise en sceneOvercast weather still looms over the area. Lighting isn’t too dark so the characters are still visible. The trees symbolise loneliness and isolation to the character that we see in the shot. I want the audience to feel like they were part of the story and are included in the atmosphere of the setting, like they are isolated just like Alex.Camera (shot/movement/angle)Long shot of Alex sitting in the field, waiting for his friend to return. The killer can be seen in the background, hiding behind the treeline. Alex begins to take out his phone at the end of the shot. The long shot makes the audience feel like they can see everything, and the killer is even more clearer in this shot. So when the audience spot him they will start to fear for Alex’s life.Soundtrack (effects/dialogue/atmos/music)Slow non-diegetic music kicks in to suggest to the audience that something is going to happen to Alex. Birds and wind can still be heard in the background. The birds tweeting make Alex look around the area, as he feels isolated without his friend, and this makes the audience feel like they are also there, but are alone as well.Shot duration3-4 seconds.

He is also hiding behind an area of trees to make it seem more creepy to the audience, and it makes them feel like they are also being watched.Camera (shot/movement/angle)Long shot of the killer hiding behind the trees. The camera slowly zooms out. This is to make the audience feel worried for Alex, as they know he is isolated and has nothing to defend himself with, so the audience can assume that he is going to die.Soundtrack (effects/dialogue/atmos/music)Non-diegetic music is still playing and is slowly building tension, telling the audience that something is about to happen. Wind and leaves can be heard blowing in the background. The music, along with the audience knowing that the killer is watching Alex give them the notion that Alex is certain to die.Shot duration3-4 seconds

Shot number #4ActionThe killer is watching Alex waiting for his friend to return. The branch in front of the killer moves in front of his face due to the wind to give the audience a sense of realism.Mise en sceneOvercast weather still looms over the area. Lighting isn’t too dark so the characters are still visible. The trees symbolise loneliness and isolation to the character that we see in the shot. I wanted the audience to get a sinister feeling, as if the killer has been waiting for a while to kill Alex.Camera (shot/movement/angle)P.O.V. Long shot from the killer’s perspective, as he is watching Alex. The camera shakes from side-to-side slightly to add a sense of realism to the audience.Soundtrack (effects/dialogue/atmos/music)Non-diegetic music is still playing and is still building tension. The music, along with the audience knowing that the killer is watching Alex give them the notion that Alex is certain to die.Shot duration4 seconds.

Soundtrack (effects/dialogue/atmos/music)Non-diegetic now picking up the pace more as the killer gets closer to Alex. The music is still slow, but is slightly getting faster, which is the same as the killer’s movement, which makes the audience’s fear grow at the same pace, as it leads up to them knowing that Alex will die.Shot duration5-7 seconds.
