This month has been all about keeping safe and healthy while practicing social distancing. With new restrictions and regulations for our safety evolving every day, it can be bring emotional stress, lack of activity, and stimulation for our residents. As a pro active measure, here at The Arbors at Westfield we have found ways to make this time fun filled and wholesome. We still have maintained social engagements such as Family FaceTime sessions and keeping socially active with videos and photos! Keeping a routine will make these uncertain times as normal as possible. Each day our routine consists of daily themed carts and gift bags for each resident. We have our activity carts filled with a large variety of themes such as M&M Monday, Trivia Tuesday and even our Flower Power cart consisting of freshly cut flowers & fun facts about flowers . Bringing in flowers will be a way to enjoy the glorious season of Spring while being indoors. Our amazing activity staff delivers these beautiful handmade gift bags to resident apartments daily! Activities such as creating beautiful cards to show families we are safe, happy, and miss them very much have also made this experience more comforting. We cannot forget to mention our adorable and tasty gift bags for our residents to ensure they are smiling everyday! Though these times are difficult and uncertain, we are still finding ways to overcome and navigate this new reality together . We are creating and sharing beautiful moments together virtually! Times like these enforce our bond and brings us even closer together as a community. Trials and tribulations remind us to always show gratitude and practice thankfulness each and every moment . Here at The Arbors at Westfield we are so very grateful for our amazing staff. Each and every one are our real life heroes! Your hard work and dedication during these difficult times will not be forgotten. We are ever so gratified for your commitment to maintain normalcy, comfort and provide extraordinary care each day during times of uncertainty.
