Centralized control system
The ARISU integrated information system is designed
to enable rapid decision-making based on the integration, monitoring and analysis of all operational data generated by all
unit processes, ranging from water intake to water supply, in order to supply clean, fresh, potable water to Seoul citizens.
※ Smart Water Grid 1. The next-generation water management system uses the latest information communication technology to improve
the management efficiency of water resources and water and sewage. 2. The water industry platform is designed to produce tap water and optimize its supply, by taking into account real-
time water demand, using supply and meteorological information.
This system is used to plan the operational schedule of the intake pump in order
to reduce electricity costs and to plan a reasonable production schedule for the
purification centers according to systematic predictions of demand based on
meteorological data and history data.
Supply management system
The water supply system is designed to facilitate a rapid response to emergency situations and prepare
for pipe network accidents and water leakages, based on the analysis of pipe deterioration and flow
rate, while minimizing public complaints about such problems as dead water or poor water supply,
based on the analysis of pipe network information and influx/pressure and water quality information.

Reinforcement of dual security
Dual monitoring for enhanced plant and reservoir security
• Integration of operational data
• Fundamental construction of water production and supply
• Monitoring of overall water network status
• Realization of data for pipe network analysis
• Enhancement of water treatment process
• Optimization of system with operational data history
• Construction of data warehouse
• Support for operator’s decision making
• Construction of an expert system
The remote monitoring system is designed to monitor remotely all
operational information and image data from six purification centers and eight waterworks offices and to control
production management and supply management, which are based on remote monitoring data.

Settlement of ARISU integrated information system is for…
Future Plan
• Accident response ability become enhanced by whole central controlling system with replacing water supply and transferring of water network
• Improvement of work process efficiency with automated integration of information everyday by developed system
• Reduction of manpower about 20~30% by remote monitoring system because of locating only emergency response personnel on purification cite
• Decision making by not experts’ experience but judgment of scientific data
• Expectedly bringing down the cost about 2.5 million a year with reduction of production cost, electricity cost and greenhouse gases
We aim to provide the best and most improved service to Seoul citizens.Service for Citizens
