A group of tourists stop by Samis Calligraphist shop. They decide to design a quest for two youngest members of the group. Dr. Noah is an Australian Tourist. He is an Archaeologist in his 40s Characters

First ScreenLocation: Jubbah, Saudi Arabia, Present Sami is standing next to Noah (the Australian tourist) when Noah uses the lenses of the camera to look at the Nofud desert. He sees Neolithic people hunting. People from 7000 - 9000 years ago. He then quickly gives the camera to Sami to see, but Sami could not see anything except the empty desert. Sami is disappointed that Jubbah does not talk to him the way it talks to Noah.Sami invites the group of tourists to visit his Calligraphist shop.

Sometimes between 7000 to 9000 years ago

Second Screen In this scene Uncle Hassan will be drawing Calligraphy while Sami reads to the group of tourists Al-Jahiths quote: ''The tongue does not take the path of the pen, nor does it even reach its dust* , nor does it declaim past its purpose. The tongue's trail is lost, its presence is temporary, and it is limited to the voice that ends soon after. As for the pen, it is the sign of constant presence, and the writing's outstretched time. Noah & Uncle Hassan decide to plan a quest for Sami & Min-Young.

Third ScreenClickable Information slides about each character. These slides includes the following details on each character: their name, age, profession, and what they say about themselves. Two characters: Sami and Min-Young will have questions that will be answered at the end of the RLO. Samis Question Why does Jubbah does not talk to me even though I am born here and talks to Noah?Min-Youngs Question Where do Calligraphists find their inspiration?

Fourth ScreenIn this scene Noah will take Sami and Min-Young to three rock arts sites in Jubbah. Noah will teach them how do archeologists interpret information and construct a model of the people who lived there based on their way of life, the climate, and hierarchy of society, and their relationships with animals.

Fifth ScreenIn this short animated screen, the learner will learn about the five famous scripts and the differences in their appearance using the same phrase. (Kufi script, Dewani script, Ruqa script, Naskh script, Thuluth script)

In three of the scripts, we will help the learner come up with a story to memorize the features of the scrip. The last two scripts will be an opportunity for the learner to come up with their own imaginary story. (stick figures will be used to act out the story)

Sixth ScreenAn interactive screen. Each script will appear from the bottom and slowly ascend through the colors crashing into parts if the learner did not identify it in time. The learner has to choose between five scripts.

The game will be scored. Around ten random words will be used.

Seventh ScreenIn this screen, the learner will be able to tab into Uncle Hassans old note book where he has images for different inspirational objects such as symmetrical objects in nature like the snowflake crystals, butterflies and man made objects like wall paper patterns. Comments from the characters on definition between the three types of symmetry will help the learner understand how to tell them apart. The three types of symmetry: 1) Reflection. 2) Rotational symmetryTranslation symmetry

Eighth ScreenIn this interactive screen, the learner will be asked to identify the types of symmetry in each calligraphic image.

In the second level, he will be asked to collect the objects with more than one symmetry.

Ninth Screen For the final interactivity, learners will be asked to interpret a couple of calligraphic works, but first they would have to collect data about the works before they are able to derive meaning from each painting and notice special patterns. They will be asked about the historicsignificance of Calligraphy. After the learner gives his guess, two popular interpretations will be shown to the learner to compare his opinion with the experts. Learner will be encouraged to apply some of the knowledge and techniques taught to them by Noah earlier.

Tenth ScreenIn this scene, a short animation will show a follow up out Sami & Min-Young figuring out the answers to their questions. Samis Question: Why does Jubbah does not talk to me even though I am born here and talks to Noah?He will learn that Noahs knowledge of the past has helped him re-construct scenes of the Neolithic society.Min-Youngs Question: Where do Calligraphists find their inspiration? She will learn that using concepts in mathematics such as symmetry creates great appeal. She will decide to prepare her own calligraphy design to enter the annual bridges conference where artists create mathematical shapes, models using all sorts of material.

Eleventh ScreenIn this animated scene, Uncle Hassan will leave the learners with advice on how to be a calligrapherFind your inspirationUse transparent papers to repeatedly write the textTake a workshop in calligraphy at the hands of an expert

Then he will leave them with three printable slides to practice on them. The phrases will be:
