Section-1: Education
You are supposed to report the degree you arepursuing and your SSC (10th) and HSC (12th)records.
You should include the name of your institution,the specialization, your education board, the yearof passing and your percentage.
While listing your educational background, youneed to follow the reverse chronological order.

Section-2: Projects/Internships
It lists all your project work in detail as to what your project was about,
the role you played and what was the result/utility of your work.
The essentials when listing your projects are:
1. Date & Duration: When did the project start and how long was it.
2. Subject: Topic of your research.
3. Team: The professor under whom the project was undertaken and
number of other team members, if any.
4. Tools: The software and hardware components used in the project.

The PAR Approach
There is an efficient and precise way of making prospectiveemployers recognize your skills. Such a method of writing iscalled PAR statement.
The PAR statement can be summarized as:
Project: Describe the work or the task at hand.
Activity: What activity did you do to accomplish that task
Result: What was the result of your labour in terms ofoutcomes and benefits.

Section-3: Extracurricular
AchievementsThe activities to be mentioned in this section are those that exhibit skillssuch as leadership, inter-communication abilities, personality, creativity,initiative-taking capability etc.
The activities in this section should also be listed in reverse chronologicalorder and the PAR approach should be used for optimization.

This section mentions the awards and
honors, if any, conferred on you which
would make you stand out from thecrowd.

This section defines your abilities to your
employer.
It lists your skills which can be technical as
coding, economics, knowledge of different OS
and programming languages, software or
even non-technical such a fluency in aparticular language.

Format & Presentation
Choose one that suits your own qualification rather than blindly
copying from one that is designed for a different person.
Fonts like Times New Roman or Arial with an ideal font size
of 10-12 are preferred.
Bullet points must be used to present your achievements in a clear
and concise manner.
Restrict your resume to a single page, or a maximum of two pages.

Content of the resume
Only list and emphasize those courses which are pertinent to your
employer and the job you seek.
Do-not use self-flattering words as excellent or outstanding.
Try to use industry keywords in your resume which suit your profile butavoid too much technical jargon.
Reduce information by omitting personal details & insignificant data
such as age, marital status, & other implicit or out-of-date information.
Use facts, figures and symbols (%, etc.) to demonstrate the scale or the
effect of a task.

Do not make a very long resume.
Do not be too wordy.
Only include events which you can confidently discuss.
Do not give irrelevant information and clutter.
