ATS Data Miner

The ATS Data Miner was designed to give users the ability to export specific
data from ATS to a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet for general reports or for
the creation of graphs. To access the Data Miner go to admin—>Data Miner
**You will need to be an admin or have been given admin rights to the Data
Miner. See your system admin if you do not have the Data Miner option.
Below is copy of the screen and the steps to take to create a file.
Step 1: Choose the area of information.

Step 2: After you choose the export area, choose the sub-categories
you want to include in your spread sheet.
These data choices will be different for every export area selection you make.
Choose individual categories to
include in your export. Or use the
buttons above to choose all or clear
all choices.

Step 3: Choose the filters to use for info selection and enter the applicable filter values.
Stock Filters vary with the export area chosen. These are OPTIONAL, extra filters to allow you to
customize further the data you wish to extract from ATS.
You are also further able to filter your data, using the optional filters. You are able to search text
fields, numerical fields, or True/False (T/F) fields.
The data miner also allows you to filter your data by a
date range as well. If you want to pull all of the data for
a export area, leave these blank. If you need specific
dates, use this to limit the data the data miner exports.
When finished with all of your selections, use the “to
Excel” button to send the data you have selected to
a spread sheet.
The Data Miner does Export the data as a .CSV file,
or comma separated value. It is recommended to
save the data after export as an XLSX file. It aids with
editing, or sending to someone to view.

Once the results are exported, you are able to sort the data using the functions of
excel, or customize the data as you need.
The Data Miner can also be used in the StaffPortal, it can be found under the
Admin menu. Go to Admin—> Data Miner.
The same admin rights apply to the Staff Portal that applied to the Desktop. The
Data Miner in the Staff Portal functions the same was as in the Desktop. Choose
your export area, select the data to be exported, set any filter values and/or date
range if applicable and then export the data.

You are able to manage the list of data miner entries in your. When you open the Data Miner choice, select
the “List Maintenance” box. This function is not currently supported by the Staff Portal.
You are able to control the sort number,
alphabetically or numerically, same as
every other list in ATS. If the staff at ATS
send you a new data miner, you might
want to categorize where it populates in
your list. You are able to also modify
some names.
