The award winning Qwirkle board game is a fantastically addictive multiple player

game for both kids and adults. It won the prestigious Mensa Best Mind Game

Award in 2007 as well as the Major Fun Award and the Parents Choice Gold

How the Qwirkle Board Game Works

The game comes with 36 colorful wooden

blocks, or tiles. Each tile has one of six

shapes on its face, either a circle, square,

diamond, clover, eight-point star, or four-

point star. Each shape is also a different

color of either red, green, purple,orange

blue or yellow.

In the beginning of the game, each player

takes six tile. This is their hand. The player

with the most shapes and colors in

common gets to lay their tiles first. Tiles

are laid so that they create line with other

tiles that have something in common,

either shape or color.

Just like in Scrabble, players are trying to add on to other tiles to create a grid, and

each line that is laid is awarded points. The player with the most points at the end

is the winner. This game can be played with anywhere from two to four players,

and an average game could take forty-five minutes or longer, depending on the

strategies used, and speed of the players.
