The scientific name for this is......... MUSA SAPIENTUM which means.....Fruit of the wise men I always wondered why Monkeys eat so many Bananas???? It is actually debateable as to whether or not the FORBIDDEN FRUIT in the Garden of Eden was a Banana and not an Apple! OUT !!!

The Banana Plant is the largest edible flowering herbaceous plant. Botanically it is a BERRY with long broad graceful leaves and very majestic looking flowers.

There are approximately 300 species mostly grown for their lush ornamental foliage but only about 20 of these varieties are grown for eating raw or for cooking.

Bananas are very difficult to grow from seeds and this is not a recommended method to use.

Bananas can be used for many things not only food, because the leaves are large and flexible plus being waterproof so they are used for..... Instant umbrella if caught in a tropical storm. Roofing materials on huts. Processed and used for making cloth, rope, rugs and paper. The sap is also used as an adhesive.

Fun Facts about Bananas Rub the inside of the skin on a mosquito bite it stops itching and helps it to heal. Tape a piece of the skin over a wart and it disappears in 2 weeks. Rub the inside of the skin on your teeth every night for...the magical two weeks and they will appear whiter.

Polish leather shoes or silver items with the inside of the skin and buff off with a soft cloth. Mash a banana with honey and face cream apply to hair, leave for 1 hour, rinse off and then shampoo... Its a good hair conditioner. I dont recommend answering the door with that on your hair!!!! The skins are a good fertilizer.........................and
