In the charity of your prayers, please pray for the soul of John Rinner,
whose Funeral Mass was on Monday, January 4th here at St. Rose.
Next weekend, January 16th and 17th, we will have a collection for the pro
-life efforts of Pregnancy Center East. Volunteers will be at the doors of
church following each Mass. Your generosity is always appreciated.
Vespers and a Choral Concert for the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord will be held this Sunday, January 10th, at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Mount St. Mary's Seminary, 6616 Beechmont Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45230. The service will be led by Fr. Paul Ruwe, a member of the faculty. Music will be sung by the Athenaeum Chorale. The public is invited to at-tend. All are welcome.
Reverend Fred Link, OFM, is coordinating a Year of Consecrated Life Concert, made up of women and men religious, for Sunday, January 17th. It will take place at the Cathedral at 3:00 p.m. and a reception will follow the concert. The Committee is planning for a 100 person chorus as well as musicians from our religious communities. Tickets are not re-quired. A Holy Hour for vocations to the priesthood will take place on Sunday, January 17th at 5:00 p.m. in the St. Gregory the Great Chapel at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary, located on the Athenaeum campus. Acts of Mercy occur in our parishes, schools, health care facilities and communities every day. In order to reflect on and celebrate mercy, Cath-olic Charities Southwestern Ohio will recognize 100 Champions of Mercy at its Centennial Awards Dinner in October. The top three award recipi-ents will receive $500 each which will be donated to the charity of their choice. Nominations are due by May 21, 2016 at www.ccswoh.org/championofmercy.
