•Each note on sheet music represents a beat to the song.• First we must find out what the count of each

• This is an 1/4 note or Quarter Note

For each Quarter Note= 1 Beat

Basics• This is Half Note Each Half note = 2 Beats

• This is a Whole Note Each Whole note= 4 Beats
