What to do when you walk in…

1. Sit at your computer2. Log into the Mac Lab user account. -Not guest or School3. Close any programs that pop up or are

running in the background when the computer first turns on.

Closing Programs Properly• Know what programs are running at all times.• There are 2 ways of closing programs.

1. Click on the name of the program at the top of the screen At the bottom of the menu there will be an option to quit.

2. Click on the apple, also located at the top of the screen next to the name of the program

Saving your work• Saving your work is always the same process

no matter what program you’re using or what you are trying to save.

• It’s only a 3 step process every time.• 1. Go to “file” on the top of the screen• 2. If it’s your first time saving click “Save as”• 3. Save to your flash drive under devices

located in the menu on the left.

Locating programs • If you’re on the correct user (Mac Lab) your

computer has Firefox and the default homepage is our class website.

• All you need to do is use the magnifying glass and start typing.

Shutting down

• Remember to properly close all the programs• (Appleforce quit only finder should appear

in the list)• Finally click the apple again and select shut

down.• (You do not turn off the computers by pressing

the button on the back)
