Who can apply?

Student leaders are the school’s role models and ambassadors.

If you are a student with an outstanding record of behaviour, attendance, punctuality and uniform then you are a suitable candidate.

If you are a student who can demonstrate resilience and sense of humour then you are a suitable candidate.

What may I be expected to do?

HOUSE CAPTAINS/PASTORAL PREFECTS/STUDENT LEADERS• Play an active role in leading Student Voice and ensuring decisions made are

carried out• Work on House Charity Events• Be attached to a particular tutor group, subject area or House• Assist with Year 6 Transition days• Act as a tour guide or welcome ambassador at Open Evenings and school events• Be willing to take a role in planning and delivering school assemblies• Be an external ambassador for the school• Help to organise the Year 11 Prom/leavers’ books/leavers’ hoodies• Carry out assigned duties on a regular basis• Play an active role in the continued improvement of the school• Work with students during break and lunchtime• Support access to enrichment activities after school• Mentoring students

• To attend and contribute to regular meetings.• To undertake prefect duties you are allocated to.• To be lead learners in the college and support and prepare activities

that encourage and support the learning of others.• To support decisions from the college council and ensure that they

are carried out.• To be internal and external ambassadors for the school. and to act

as role models for all students at St Edmund’s.• To be present at key sporting events, (sports day / presentation
