Equipment

• Each school is equipped with– 3 or 4 ICT labs depending on its size– 2 technology labs– Science labs for subjects such as physics, Chemistry

and biology– DIAS room equipped with pc/laptops for each

student, video projector and multimedia facilities• At the moment we have an ongoing delivery of

around 1500 new PCs at schools all around the island

• Around 2000 will probably be scheduled for next year.

Possibilities…

• Internet and Intranet Connection from every room in the school – both classrooms, labs and administrative offices

• Wi-Fi connectivity – controlled by safety protocols

• VoIP Telephony in all schools

• Secondary and Technical Education– Total Number of Schools : 122– Schools finished so far : 45– Schools being implemented now : 24

• Primary Education– Total Number of Schools : 353

Structure Cabling Costs

• For the 45 schools so far around 5.000.000 € have been spent

• Another 2.000.000 € for the 24 that are being processed now

• For the primary education the cost is expected to be much less due to the size of each school and the simplicity of the requirements.

• Continue with the Structure Cabling until all schools are completed

• Connect schools to the school Intranet

• Full use of tools such as ΔΙΑ.Σ.
