Dance theatre & film production | Produced by Champloo Dance Company, co-commissioned by Theatre Bristol & The Bristol Old Vic with support from Bristol City Council, Travelling Light & Arts Council England.

Highly regarded for his dance film work, White Caps represents Wilkie Branson's first major live work. Integrating lyrical film with explosive breakdance, White Caps is a multimedia experience that follows the journey of two young men as they embark on an epic and gruelling personal adventure.

The Big Issue Foundation is a financially independent charity which builds around the unique trust that we establish with homelesspeople to deliver a brighter future, boosting self esteem & helping vendours reclaim theircitizenship.

Vendours of The Big Issue Foundation often submit artwork, creative writing and poetry to be showcased in the magazine in order to tell their own personal stories of being homeless in a big city. Studio Upstairs exists to provide artistic resourcesand theraputic support to people experiencing mental and emotional distress and to those in drug and alcohol recovery. The studio grants a safe social space where, in the medium to longer term, members can experience a sense of belonging. To be part of the community involves commitment and for commitment to happen people need to develop a sense of purpose to themselves, others and the studio.

Members learn to develop their own structures within the open plan and fluid ap-proach that the studio provides whichessentially leads to autonomy of the individual.
