LET’S KNOW OUR SRC
NEW MAHALLAH SITE VISIT On 28th April, there was a site visit to our new Mahallah, involving representatives from SRC and MRC, to-gether with the IIUM administration board. The visit was held to provide a basic view of the new Mahallah that will be occupied by the students starting in the next semester and also to settle several issues regarding the Mahallah. The new Mahallah consists of three coloured buildings: The pink buildings - for Brothers
The brown buildings - for Sisters The green buildings In the new Mahallah, the cafe is separated from the residential ar-ea, in a centralized building that also has a lot of utilities for the students. The centralized building can be used for programmes, exhibitions and promotions for students’ activities, besides variety of foods at the cafe. During the visit, the preparation and arrangement of new furniture is still in progress. Each room can be occu-pied by four students and accommodated with beds, study tables, chairs, bookshelves, notice boards, and lockers. The new Mahallah also facilitated with lift, pantry, and iron board at each level. Another interesting facility in the new Mahallah is the students’ activity center. It is situated in a separate building near the Mahallah. This center is very suitable for students’ activity as it consists of a hall with a stage. The-se facilities are prepared so that the students can organize programmes, talks or other activities in a nearer venue thus at the same time can attract more students to participate in the programmes organized. The new Mahallah also provides parking area for students. The number of parking lots available in the Mahal-lah compound is about 400 with the additional 440 lots in Kulliyyah of Science area. The free space in front of the Kuliyyah will also be used to cover the parking area for the new Mahallah. Only vehicles with stickers can enter the Mahallah and park in the Mahallah compound. There will be an automatic sensor which can identify vehicles with the parking sticker.

CAMPRO is an annual event that organized by SRC Dakwah Secretariats in collaboration with Dakwah Bureaus from all Kulliyyah Based Societies (KBS) and non-KBS. This event has been started with the Opening Ceremony and Forum entitled “Akhi, Ajarkan Aku Dakwah” held by IIUM Pharmacy Students Association (IPhA) and Science Students’ Society (SCIENCESS). The huge crowd filled the Main Auditorium, Kulliyyah of Phar-macy to hear the wisdom from the invited panellists, Ustaz Ghazali Ibrahim (Dikir Zikir TV Al-Hijrah), Bro Mohd Farizuan (Mr. The All Shared), and Bro Asyrafuddin (ex-SRC 2012/2013).
This exciting annual event proceeded with many other interesting events or-ganized by each society. As this event not only promotes students with dakwah to-wards the IIUM community, there were also some events taking place outside the cam-pus such as the Street
Dakwah, the open forum In the Shade of Al-Quran, Dapur Jalanan, TC Run, and To Penor With Love. Although having many obstacles before the event, CAMPRO 5.0 came towards its end on 28th April with the Closing Ceremony and a forum enti-tled “What’s Next” with the Vice Pres-ident of SRC, Sis Masitah Salihah, Pro-gramme Manager of CAMPRO 5.0, Bro Azam Yusof, and KAHS lecturer, Dr Muhammad as the panelists. This fo-rum focused on the next step that stu-dents should take after this to contin-ue the dakwah activity inside and out-side the campus. Thanks to all of the committees and students involved in making this event successful. We really hope that this annual event will be continued in the next coming years.
