Paper is submerged into a weak solution of salt and water. Making paper sensitive to light.

Paper is brushed with silver nitrate on one side.

Paper is then placed into camera while still moist and exposure is made.

The paper is then treated with a developing chemical to bring out the image.

The image would be fixed, washed and left to dry.

Printing paper was soaked in a solution of table salt and then brushed on one side with a silver nitrate solution. This paper was placed under the negative, sandwiched under glass and placed in bright light. Within 15 minutes there was a visible image on the print paper.
