From the desk of Fr. Costa
Can you believe we’re moving into the last weeks of Au-gust? Where does the time fly? Some of our families will be moving their sons and daughters into college dorms, some for the first time, others as returning students. As our young men and women begin this new chapter in their lives, we offer our prayerful support. May your year be blessed with new, enriching adventures. May you grow in wisdom, knowledge, and grace. May God’s love enfold you, encourage you, and keep you safe from all harm. Best of luck!

Some housekeeping details:
Folks have asked about dropping their budget envelopes into the collection basket, especially if they are not members of that particular parish. This is a very practical concern. Yes, you are most welcome to participate in Sunday Mass at any of our three parish churches. Your offertory donation – in a budget envelope or a marked envelope – will be given to the parish designated on the envelope. So, if you are a registered member of Saint Patrick Parish, but happen to be participating at Mass in Saint Louis de France Church and drop your Saint Patrick envelope in the collection basket, that donation will be sent to Saint Patrick Parish. We used this system at my former assignment with great success. We cannot guar-antee that any “loose” bills will go to your designated parish. Using the budget envelope system or using a plain envelope, marked with your parish name, assures that your donation goes to the intended parish.
We have also been asked about donation tax informa-tion which is made available usually in January. With the uniting of our three parish offices, those forms for all three parishes will be available in the central office. The budget envelope company we use prints these forms for us. Notification of availability will be posted in the par-ish bulletin at the appropriate time.
Another question concerns use of the parish email ad-
dresses. For the time being, please continue to use the
email address for each, separate parish office.

We are still working on updating our computer system. Eventually, there will be one new email address for the centralized office, hopefully sooner than later! As soon as this is finalized we will spread the news!
PARISH CALENDAR
As a new school year begins, many of our parish or-
ganizations will resume their meetings and activities.
To assist Fr. Costa and the parish staff, we ask the per-
son(s) responsible for leadership of each group to
please send their calendar to the centralized parish of-
fice. Even though you may have sent in dates, or even
presume dates are locked in the parish calendar, please
submit a listing so we can be doubly assured. This is
especially important if you use any parish properties
for your meetings. Please list the dates, times, and lo-
cation of group meetings. Contact information for the
person(s) responsible would be very helpful as well.
With three separate sites and numerous parish groups,
this information is crucial for success (and sanity!)
Please submit your information by Friday, September
6. Thank you for your patient understanding and co-
operation.
