At Porsche, we have high standards, not

least when it comes to quality assurance

and the environment. This is clearly

demonstrated by our comprehensive

recycling concept. Even in the vehicle

development phase, we make every

effort to comply with worldwide accepted

recycling regulations. The result is that

our vehicles and their components are

designed with recycling and reuse in

mind. We are striving constantly to make

our vehicles as environmentally friendly

as possible.

We aim to explore feasible opportunities

to conserve resources and minimise our

impact on the environment. We use

modular components to make the

dismantling of vehicles as uncomplicated

as possible in case of reuse, and

solutions for separating out materials

and then collecting materials of the same

type. All the materials in our vehicles are

labelled to facilitate future separation

and collection with a view to their

recycling. The reduction in the wide

variety of plastics used makes it easier

to exploit these opportunities. Recycled

plastics and renewable raw materials are

used where they meet our exacting

technical requirements.

Porsche has established a network of

take-back and recycling facilities. Only

certified dismantling centres are

permitted to dismantle our vehicles,

thereby ensuring the safe disposal of

fluids and pollutants. Of course, this is

always carried out in accordance with

our detailed dismantling and draining

instructions and in conformity with

regulations governing end-of-life vehicles.

For a long time now, our recycling efforts

have concentrated on more than metal

materials alone. An increasing proportion

of plastics and operating fluids is also

being submitted for recycling.

This reduction in waste has benefits not

only for the environment but for you, too.

These benefits are achieved through the

use of selected, long-lasting operating

fluids, which are key to reducing the

scope of routine maintenance work and

the frequency of specified maintenance

intervals.
